Rickey's Auto Salvage, but I wouldn't ever buy from them.

hummm.. the words best and cheapest are usually contradictory. You tend to get what you pay for.

Your not going to find cheap and good quality from a place. Depends what your idea of cheap is. 2400$ is cheap. I think Jarco might have some in stock. they sell "Excellent" clips but if your Idea of cheap isn't 2400$ or so they never mind.

jarco 3rd gen 3s starts around 4500, accoring to their rep, michael hooper. on the otherhand, mr2warehouse.com has them for 3500. they are in pa. i am sure most of the mr2oc members have heard of them. and their clips seems pretty clean. i don't think i have heard one bad yet.
we've gotten a h22 clip from osakajdmmotors.com good contition a few broken sensors
we also just picked up a white s14 clip from jarco, awesome condition, very clean

I joined the current group-buy run by Dave at Mr2Warhouse in PA.
$3500 +shipping to you isn't that bad IMO.
If the clip is missing parts (which he told me rarely happens) he has many on hand. i.e. shifter cables, stock Ic piping, etc.
I will say this:
*You will be waiting a good 4 - 5 months from the beginning of a group buy for your clip since he gets like 24 clips per container
(i paid in late april...expecting arrival in early august now)
*He is only allowing like 4-5 clips to be shipped in my group buy (i am lucky to be #2 in line for a gen3 to catch a spot)...apparently the only money he makes is on installs.
*His next group buy may not have the option of getting the clip shipped to your home...on top of that ... his install rate goes to $1500!!!...
You should def. send him and email though and ask.
I do know for sure he has a non-LSD Gen2 clip $2100.
good luck

ok guys i'm satisfied...prices vary from place to place...good enough...you know, what i actually mean is this...if two places have the same stuff, nearly same milage who is gonna sell it for less?in other words i'm not biting my nails over this "project" so i'm gonna shop around and ultimately i will make my own deal.Hell, rebuilding is an option that can save you money in the long run also...so i'm considering that too.
i'm looking into actually physically going to japan and getting my own damn clip

Honestly, you are not going to find an inexpensive "clip", everyplace costs just about the same, Jarco is a little more, but that is because you will have 100% satisfaction. There is no other mr2 "clip" dealer that can make that claim. All of the rest are shady and unreliable. There are tons of places that sell motorsets, but since your mr2 is non turbo, you will need the hubs and axles from a turbo model, which are not easy to come by used. Best thing to do would be to save up $3k and then start shopping for your clip. Buy from someone realiable, because if you deal with someone less then 100% satisfaction, it will come to bite you in the ass later. Who knows, maybe by the time you are ready to buy, there will be a nice clip waiting for you.
