neon turbo kit for cheap

i am looking for a turbo kit for a 420a sohc motor and i was wondering if anyone
knows were i can get one or if it is better to custom build it. thanx

you can get the manifold/turbo combo new from modern performance for 800(900 for a 20g version) which is fairly cheap, just to let you know though, the 420A is not a SOHC motor...if your talking about the SOHC neon engine the engine code is S4RE or some such I believe, the neon DOHC engine is NOT a 420A either btw, its a D4RE I believe(these engine codes may be wrong but I'm pretty sure they are accurate) but anyway, if it is a 420A(2nd gen eclipse/avenger engine) the hahn manifold will not fit I dont think

modernperformance.com, howell automotive.com, or you can get an srt-4 turbo and neons.org sells an adaptor plate so it will workon the SOHC engine block.

no my friends question he has a 2.0L neon he wants a turbo kit for it but he didnt want to make a account. BTW my 1.8L eclipse beat the neon ^.^ , but if i could make or buy a cheap tubo kit for my eclipse i would.

your 1.8L 1st gen eclipse beat the neon? I call BS on that unless he is an auto and your a 5 speed, the 1.8L eclipse weighs what? 2800lbs at the bestat has maybe 90HP? the 2.0L SOHC neon weighs worst case scenario 2700lbs or so(if its a 2nd gen) and has 135HP(we wont even go into torque) but yeah, get one from hahn

i had to get registered so i had to use my friends signin name till i could get my own. it is bs. i am the one who asked the question and he only beat my car cause i had a bad takeoff and i didnt powershift it and also was playing around and gave a couple second headstart . i beat his friends protege hatchback until 3rd gear and a 97 celica with 5 speed and dohc and walked away from him slowly so i think i could beat an old sohc eclipse. he also only beat my car by 1 foot or so but winning is winning. i was catching up but we ran out of room. if he did beat me fairly i wouldnt care. i;m not the person to make excuses about loosing if i loose i admit it. and by the way my car has 145 hp. i do also have an automatic and i do beat some v6's. thank you guys for your help. but he still won. i really dont care if i lost though, i was havin fun. i dont even know if its worth it although my car runs great it has 95,000 miles on it.

and who ever slowboost is it is for my car and it might not be fast but its for my self and i just want to have fun with it so sorry if my car isnt a tsi talon.

WTF does that mean you little turdball. I only said that because in the mitsu tech your friend was trying to swap the wrong motor in his car and i thought he may have been confused again. Turbo your car i dont give a fuck and never said a thing about it.

I was going to install it but now i getting rid of all my aftermarket stuff, returning the car to stock and selling it for a truck
