I have a 99 Breeze with the 2.4l motor. Ove the past month I've noticed an increase in fuel consumtion and a suddle loss of power. If I accelerate easily, I notice the car will surge forward with the power it should have suddenly coming back to it.
Any ideas as to what it could be? Any help would be greatly appriciated. :nworthy:
I already changed the air filter, so that's not it. :wtf:

how many miles on motor? - 64k
does it happen all the time? cold or hot? - Yes almost, all the time at any RPM.
do you smell raw fuel? - No fuel smell
anything else been done? lile fuel filter? - Nothing else has been done. I was going to change the fuel filter but it's located above the fuel tank. I then looked at the owners manual and they made no mention of changing the fuel filter at any milage. So I returned it.
and post the last 9 of your vin# if you could. - Sure thing vin# 2XN649178
Thanks for your help.

It could possibly be a number of things, I ran your vin to get a service history from chrysler, not much there but recalls preformed and original prep. My biggest problem has been with dirty injectors. Seems I have to have them flushed out about once every year. Everything from PCM's to fuel pumps are typical faluires on these cars. You may just have to pay a dealers check out fee to get a good diagnosis. We have Wynn's products, and they have a great induction service, it's $159.00! but it works.

What's a PCM?
When you say "we" what do you mean by that? Do you work at a shop or dealership?
What's an induction service?
