I have an Eastwood fender roller for rent that I have used personally on my own car (97 240sx). Its bolts to the hub and will also flare fenders if you wish. $50 to rent but requires a $300 deposit which covers the cost if not returned or damaged. Contact DJ @ 407-314-3963.

50 bucks is a bit steep, especially when compared to a baseball bat... You got any pics of it or the work that it can do?

Many 'shops' will charge you ~$40-50 PER corner. $50 is MORE than reasonable considering you can take all the time you want and do all 4 corners, and even go 1/2 on it with a friend.

And you're asking pics of 'what it can do' or some of its 'work', yet say it's expensive compared to a baseball bat. If you don't know how the fuck a fender roller works, then how can you compare? Get a clue man, seriously.

Quit being a cheap ass.

I think $50 is very reasonable, considering that the tool costs over $250 and you will probably only use it once.

The eastwood roller is great from what I've heard, many people use it, and some, like this guy on zilvia, rents it out across the entire nation. I've never used one, but $50, and a $300 safety deposit is completely fair. It's cool that your helping out the community by doing this.

i think the question was ment to be:::: show pics and see if its worth spending the $$ or just do it with a baseball bat.

i would like to see what this device does and i don't mean how it works but the quality of the work vs. my own fender rollin skillz!

i've rolled atleast 8 cars in the last year and i think i do it good but if this device is better it might be worth buying/renting..and pics will tell..

This is more what I meant. I m sorry if I came across as a dick, it wasn't my intention, and I do think its also cool that there is someone with the willingness to put it up for rent.

I know what fender rolling is, and have done my share of it. I was interested in seeing pics of the quality of work because there are some terrible fender rolling machines out there (worse than a bat even) that will mess up the fender pretty bad.

Its been a years since I last rented a fender rolling tool, and my saying that it sounded steep was compared to how I remember it and compared to the cost of renting another big expensive tool (like an engine hoist, that can be had for little or no deposit and $20/week).

What ever happened to this offer? Still good? Has anyone tried it out?

#1 you can NOT properly roll fenders with a baseball bat UNLESS you mean to just roll the inner fender so the wheel dosen't rub.

#2 I wouldnt roll s13 front fenders. Their cheap/thin as fuck and will crinkle.

#3 I have my rears HELLA rolled and it took me the better part of a few hrs to roll them and it was worth it. Although someone was nice enough to let me use theirs for free. Yes my paint chipped from the rolling and I have a few little creases (to be expected with the ammount of flair I have.. nothing that won't be covered soon anyway ;) .. but all in all I like mine. There mean looking.

Steve - when you rolled yours, did it tear up the paint?

I'm talking about rolling to eliminate rub, I wouldn't try to flare with a bat :D

I think that this is the machine that is being refered to:
http://www.eastwoodco.com/images/us/local/products/detail/p16482.jpg

Looks cool, more controlled than a bat, but does essentially the same thing...

Mine are pretty thick thanks to 40 layers of paint and body filler, I don't know what thin is.
