STi vs Caddilac CTS-V

the 1st im able to drive in a long time and i have a brand new black caddilac CTS-V driving next to me, pacing me to run. the light coming up is red so i start to slow down, i hear him rev at me. the light turns before we get to a dead stop and we both go from around 10mph roll, 1st gear we are even, 2nd gear he pulls a 1 car on me, 3rd hes pulled another 1/2 car, and is slowly pulling but we had to let off about 80mph due to traffic coming up. hes prob about 1 1/2 to 2 cars ahead when we let off. i didnt get a chance to talk to the guy but i was very impressed with the power that thing had. i come and do some research on the cadillac and come to find out stock it has a LS6 ZO6 motor in it :whoa: dont feel so bad losing now since i now know it has a ZO6 motor in it. i never knew those motors were an option in that car. very nice car

for the power that thing has i think i did pretty good against him. i think it will even closer if we run from a dig. also im not sure if it was stock, loud deep tone. i dont mind losing to a car like that :)

I love those CTS Type V's... I would rock the hell out of one. When I went to pick up our Cadillac (company car) in Jacksonville about 6-8 months ago I was talking to some of the salesmen about them. Got a good laugh when I asked one of the guys if it was pretty quick and he said he got a ticket for 110 on an on-ramp.

Meh, I don't mind losing. My favorite race so far was a loss against a good friend of mine. Usually I jump off the line 2 cars or so and get reeled back in on the top end, makes for a good race. It's all for fun.

i raced the same guy one time. i also thought he was spanish. he had a girl in the car with him and he was taunting me on erhlich. he tailgated me, revd the motor. he gave me a real a arogant(sp) look. we caught the next light and it was on. needless to say. i whipped his ass. my son was laughing his ass off. we went a couple more time same result. the guy seemed like an ass. i knew the cars were fast, but i was surprised by it performance.

The CTS-V has pretty bad traction and wheelhop issues on the stock tires.. You could probably take his lunch money from a dig.

My dads got an 04 cts, hes going to upgrade the caddy to the cts v this summer! cant wait to drive it. The regular cts is a decently quick car.It has great pick up, and yet a great looking car.
