Well this month has been a tragic comedy for me in trying to get an event together for us. Folks, it just ain't gonna happen, the site was reserved for the Sheriffs office before our reservation got solidified. I'm really sorry this happened. I doubt that any of you are more disappointed than I am, but feel free to use this thread as a vent for your frustration. Then at least maybe we can laugh a little at this sad, sad, sad situation.
On the up side you have a little more time to get ready for July 9th and 10th. It's gonna be a goodun you can count on that.

The loss of the June event has put us down by two points days for the championship. In an effort to catch up, we're going to run the July event as a double header weekend. We'll either convert one of the other scheduled weekends to a double header or try to work in an extra weekend before the end of the season, it's not yet been decided which route we'll take.
July has been scheduled for quite a while now. I feel pretty confident in saying that it will indeed happen. It's at a site where there's no configuration conflicts and they've yet to dump us once an event has been scheduled.

What's the new ride???
Not disclosing at this time...... your hints are as follows.....
1. all "GM vehicles" are selling at employee cost - huge rebates.
2. car is VERY close in every exterior+interior dimension to my Protege5 which is being traded in.
:-D :-D

GTO
Not even close.......out of my price range and not a useful vehicle although for 30k right now a great buy IMO

It's plain as day what it is....but I don't see why when you didn't like my car. :dunno: it's the same thing, except turns a little tighter and has leather.

I knew you would know what it is  and I never really drove yours hard even during my few solo drives..... driving it hard will be when the fun begins :D
After more exposure, I'm learning it's just a "different" animal than the FWD I'm used to driving and a car that takes a bit more time to get fully comfortable with and enjoy near it's limits.....
BTW... the N/A model is selling for 16,400 base price now

Nope..... you've probably never even heard of it.......think a little less "GM"

Just kidding. It's the Saabaru. Not a bad deal $19.4K according to the website.

toe in = better high speed stability
toe out = better turn in
I'd like to know what kind of magic camel toe they're using to have both be better....

Yup, $19,400, thousands less than a WRX with some improvements, 4yr/50k warranty instead of 3/36k and 2yr/24k mile free maintenance.

Didn't catch that.......... was a copy and paste from a Saab board....
another from C&D magazine..
In addition, 1.8mm of toe-in was dialed into the front wheels for better on-center feel and straight-line stability.

if it comes with RE-92's like the subaru's do you need to ditch those things right away they suck ass! i remember reading someplace where they talked about the differences between the saabaru & the wrx & there were several more but i can't remember them. biggest downside as far as i'm concerned is that saab tried to quiet down the boxer sound even more than a stock exhaust already does, that should be your 2nd thing to fix plus it adds quite a bit of oomph, if i spelled that right.
nunyo, correct me if i'm wrong but sebring was on the calender for quite awhile as well... ;-) i'll be there both days i'm fairly certain, especially since it's most likely a double points event & i'm rather low on points lemme know if any help is needed anywhere :tard:

I'm 99% sure exhaust system itself is same as WRX wagon, it's quietier inside only due to the increased sound deadoning....and yes I know all about the crap RE-92's, those will be for sale within the month most likely. Throw whats left of my old Falken's on those and maybe these to daily drive on...

Mofugga is forgetting that early in my autocross experience I spanked him while driving on RE92's. They are great for learning the limits of your car without having to push too terribly hard to get there.
Yes Sebring was on the schedule for a while, when was the last time you saw an Armco barrier at Brooksville?

Good point, I could always run a few events on them before switching to my old Falkens....
