View Full Version : Confusion as to who REALLY shut down Auburndale

Who exactly shut down the event at Auburndale? I paid $60 to give my nephews their first look at drifting in person, which lasted about 30min. The track owner told me that "Dave & Jose" shut it down, which is wierd because it looked as though the one-toothed, Auburndale High Homecoming Queen of 1949 was calling the shots both Friday and Saturday. I stuck around to get my money back, and when I was told their was no money, I called the Sheriff and filed a report. I must say that I'm impressed that the detective even called to tell me he was assigned to this "case". If someone can help me contact the promoters "Dave & Jose", I would appreciate it!

For anyone else who did not receive a refund, you can call Sergent Gordy Scherer at the Polk County Sheriff's Office ( 863-297-1100 ) and ad your name to case # 05-90574.

Also, the track owner is "J.T." and his cell # is 863-287-0784. :-D

I don't think it's going to be easy! I think the track owner already spent my money on a new camouflage one-zee for his pre-teen dauhter's third child, after three years of trying produced two girls, he finally has a son...uh I mean grandson.

Steve,
I understand your angle, but I have this thing about people stealing money from me. Besides, any future "events" there will have a poor turnout because people remember when they've driven to Auburndale and got mugged! I'm not concerned about the track owner reading any of my comments, he thinks the internet is that net thing inside of his bathing suit.....ok, I'll stop talking shit. ;-)

Jonas,
your young now, but wasting time, energy, money and seeing your kids dissapointed will be more significant when you have a family to look after! You may not choose to ever have a family, but trust me when I tell you, you will get older!

i serioulsy want my money back and some compensation for driving all the way out there. stupid hicks think they can do what ever they want to and get away with it. i personally think thats really disrespectful to me and the whole drifting community. they dstrait up lied to people just to see them drive out there then turn around and have to go home. i will never go back there and would not recommend anyone else going back there. shit, calling the cops on us, what the hell is that? F-ck that place. i'll do the drive to hialeah.

i will never go if Fucking Bill wont go ..... shit......i think if you consider how they have
handled this problem so far , imagine if there was a accident (of some kind )or a situation of a more serious nature ~how do you think they would handle it ?
and you want to preserve their invite ? drifting probaly isn't the only racing forum
that operates there and maybe the tracks behavior will scare everyone away ~
if you go back there and some thing happens ~let me be the first to say i told you
there is one killer in every croud of 50 ~

i cant believe people still seem to think that if they get hurt, or wreck their car that is anybodies financial responsibility other than their own.
