alpine dvd unit

what is the difference between the iva-300 and 310 as far as video quality. the only thing I noticed was that for $300 more you get a remote. I know there has to be something.

also on my other thread someone mentioned a dvd unit that wouldn't play straight dvd's but someother dvd format, it sounded like you'd have to rip and convert. whats this about and do I have that issue with the alpine's?

Its only the AVIC-D1 that doesnt play DVD Video, only DVD Rom. You shouldnt have this problem with any other unit.

As far as the 300 vs 310...just a newer model Im pretty sure.

cool thanks, the other thread got crowded and was hard to make heads or tails of some things.

310 = remote, sub-display when the screen is closed, and it plays almost all formats of DVD (R, RW, etc).

I am not sure about the 300
