I figured i'd post this in here in case anyone else had some similar curiousities. Build me a system. Not TOO expensive (<$1k), if that's possible. Just the speakers and amp(s), i know the head unit i want.

Thoughts?

ok, well that'll work in the gt too... unless it's got 5.25's up front, in which case you can substitute ms5a's for the front stage.

EDIT: after further research, it does have 5.25 slots up front. so get these instead. (http://www.dls.se/english/speakers/ms5.htm)

there's only one local DLS dealer that i know of, tropical audio on himes... same block as the best buy on dale mabry.

EDIT: i lied, tony's customs on 40th street apparently also sells them, as well as the german autohaus apparently. i didn't even know they sold stereo equipment :dunno:

That doesn't seem like much power...

Ballpark on the price?

the amps are underrated.

you should be able to track all that down for under 1000. depends on who you get the dls components from.

my taste hasn't changed any since march of last year. and i didn't think the CDT's were available anymore... wasn't that a one time thing?

EDIT: ok well after looking at thezeb.com for the first time in a year and a half, apparently they're still selling those cdt speakers.... if you come up short on cash, those would be a fine alternative, but you'll be much happier with the DLS speakers IMO. i reccomended the cdt's to a friend of mine doing an ultra-budget install (think under 600 bucks) and they're definitely leagues away from anything else in that price range. HOWEVER, the DLS are just better speakers. plain and simple.
