greater wheel spin equates to higher trap speed. Generally I saw a 2-4 mph difference depending on the track (1/8 vs 1/4).

I've seen wheel spin equate to higher traps and higher e/t's.

I've expierienced on several occassions switching from street tires and spinning to slicks and sticking resulted in HIGHER trap speeds and lower et's.
When the car made 186rwhp I ran 9.5 @ 74 on street tires, switching to drag radials I went to an 8.86 @ 77mph. Weather conditions being the same, ran back to back weeks at sunshine.
When the car made 279rwhp I ran 8.6 @ 84 on street tires, the following week with very similar conditions I ran an 8.1 @ 87mph on slicks.
