I agree that black looks good on any car, and the rally stripes depending on the model. But to say there is a best color, I personally don't think there is one. Many diferent models were known because of there choice of factory bright colors. It's part of what makes some of them worth so much, between the color combinations of orig. fact paint, interior colors, etc. Here are some I found. I don't think we'll see any of these colors rolling out of the assembly plants these days!

I agree, I personally like blue. Some other color combos...

Gold with Black stripes (Hurst style)
Silver with black stripes
Blue with Silver
Candy apple red with white stripes

In your case Id stay factory colors, like the purple, orange etc...Very fun colors for mopar back in the day.

 

For some reason I really like this color scheme idea. I don't know why
