I'm sorry but scion Tc are the gheyest cars out there made by toyota. They do look nice, but the reviews that i have read by other fellow car owners have been really bad. My honest opinion about them is that most kids do drive them, they are uberly slow, yes it is pussy mobile until you get beat by that one honda civic. Sorry but the Tc's are so slow. On the other hand I would consider buying one if I had no balls. :rolleyes:

Theres alot of Tc's out in brandon. I talked my girlfriend into getting one. Its alot better then the firebird she wanted. Now she actually wants a mitsubishi eclipse. Doh! They look nice but she kinda neglects her cars. She relies on the warranty. Anyways I know the quality of toyota is behind the Tc. Hopefully they stop selling them at msrp so she can get hers soon.

i respect your opinion on what you think about the tC ..but you have no clue on the proformace this car has and can do. the tC was made for boost that was the whole intension that toyota had on the car, the internal are vary strong for being stock. the car is vary torquey it has a 160hp and 163 torque ... i have seen some dynos on the car stock and it pushing 141whp and and 143 in torque keep in mind this is to the wheel. im not saying the tc is a fastest car but there is no honda stock that can out proforme the tc the only one that can stay in the game is the Si and not by much .. the GT celica is no match stock and the GTS is a great race but from the role i eat them up... off the line is a vary good race its a driver race . there's a tc thats runing 12.5 turbo.. keep in mind this is the first year for the car .. the proformace world is now catching up. . so just keep your eyes open you might see a super white tC turbo around tampa in the near future" hint hint " and i dont mind to see what you have in your ST turbo one day so ill keep you posted "elspuperspic"...

Sorry but I don't drive a ST turbo celica, even if I did I would still walk a TC. And I really don't know what makes you think that the Tc was made for boost. It has vvt, thats not really boost friendly. I think I'll stick to my retro line of cars. Besides for 3000$ or so, trd offers a supercharger that would only add 40 hp to the tc. Wow, thats about 750$ for every 10 hp. Not really a great bargain.

well if you read up on the spec of the engine. if toyota wanted they could of easly put the 1.8 GTS motor in the tC.but they didnt cuz they had bigger plans..there are cons and pro to both engines.. yeah you can rev higher but when you boost that engine the lag in the turbo is not that great. i would be ay full boost at about 2500rpm. all that im saying is that the scion brand will have a big part in the proformance world and will be a vary good competitor and will hold his own.

I like how nobody gives the tC credit buts thats ok...people who bought the car in the first place didn't but it because it was destined to beat SRT4's or something...They want something that looks awesome, gives good power for stock, and want to maintain some individuality(of course customizing and tuning is apart of this)....companies like Scion Speed dumping 420+ hp on a stock block...running mid 12's...shit...a 12 second daily driver is a damn good car in my book....Other than Jotech's 500 hp tC...I give more respect to the Scion Speed and ZPI turbo kits coming out soon(even tho both of those companies were bitching to one another on the Scion Life forums not to long ago.) since they are on stock internals where as Jotechs is a completely re done car from head to toe...plus its ugly as hell imo....

EDIT:: I wish some Scion owners would acknowledge each other every once in awhile...hopefully we can keep somewhat of respect for one another's cars. I try to throw a wave or something whenever I see another tC or something..

I was looking through my bookmarks and forgot all about this site :). But no, they didn't send me any money. I don't remember asking if they would though, maybe that was someone else. If I did, I didn't know at the time that you had to finance through Toyota in order to get that money.

Since then though the car has been great, with only a minor sunroof/hatchback rattle. I'm giving it some more time before I go in to have it looked at, my last service manager was unable to locate the problems, maybe a new one could (precision likes to get new managers every 6 months it seems :)). Car's been great, like I said, just lowered mine with TRD springs, but I'm having a clunk coming from the front now when I hit large bumps. I'm going to have to diagnose it but I can't possibly see it being the struts, considering the age. Possibly because chamber was thrown off in my vehicle? Not quite sure just yet.

Also I work at an alarm/tint shop now in Tampa (Alarms ETC.) so I am mostly tinting windows, with a bit of alarm/stereo install. I'm pretty much a jack of all trades, master of a few :). Seriously though, I'm loving every minute of this job, except the pay (It's just a college job though, mechanical/electrical engineering here I come)

you should take your car to courtesy toyota they fix my sunroof problem.. i also have the trd springs and sway bar did you have them put on or did you do it yourself.. if you had the springs put on by a shop take it back to them. if not put mu on and had no problem make sure to tighten up all the screws... on that note its good to see more tc owner on the forums. by the way setacross my plan are to go with the zpi turbo kit im just waiting for more info and see how it turns out. the tC has a lot of potential im just giving it some balls.

i might have to stop by lol..I need my windows to be tinted big time..im hating this summer sun...I stepped into my car one day in the afternoon not to long ago and my temperature reading at 122 degrees! lol..so i'll definately be looking into some tint...it just further helps knowing more tC owners are in the area now.

Yeah im planning on bumpin it up with the zpi kit as well but im waiting for my warranty to go out....I've on the contrary to many other tC owners, have not had any rattling or anything to that sort...the only problem i have right now is with a rubber seal (where the glass on the hatch meets the paint)...its loose for some reason and I wouldn't be surprised if it was dislodged from making numerous triple digit joy rides down rural roads. but all is well here..hopefully ill see more tC peeps out the..meanwhile give me a rev if u see me (Silverstars ALWAYS on and green, grey, white tassle chilling on the rear view)..-Pe@ce~

Installation wasn't too bad, took about 3 hours. I had little solder experience but as I went i got more and more comfortable and now I feel like I could tackle future soldering work extremely easy.

I guess I'm coming in on the tail end of this conversation. I got my SSM tC back in November. A girls car? Well, show me an 04-05 import car of the same price that is a guys car. If you catch flak from people about "this is a girls car", you need to hang out with an older crowd. Personally, I just bought the car because I wanted something that I could keep stock, and I could drive 200k miles. I traded in my babied 02 WRX because after 45k miles it felt like it was about to give up on me (horrible tranny, constant piston slap). I know that this Toyota will last as long as I have it. As for mods, I get more bang for my buck from my 240sx.

BTW, looking for a pair (2) of stock 17" wheels and tires!

I bought my car from Precision Toyota...so that's where I went...the parts dept. guy was very helpful and wen outta his way to get me the 06 mats. I have always had good experience at Precision...unlike Stadium..where i haven't...but honestly..just try going somewhere that ur more close to first then worse come worse..just go to Precision and see what they can do for you.

Check the average person's salary for other eras and compare it to the gas prices; we're not paying any more, we are actually paying less of a percentage of income on gas!
