ok me and my cousin are having an arguement about the 05 mustang..he claims that the 05 "v6" mustang is faster than any gt stock..and he said that 15hp more at the flywheel doesnt make a difference..i said that a gt fox is quicker than the 05 v6..and he said that the 05 v6 is comparible to the 98 cobra...any info would be appreciated..and links to info would be even better..thanks

What times are 05 V6's getting? My "stock" 2v GT went best of 13.72. Dont think a 05 V6 is gunna touch it. My stock 1987 Mustang GT went 14.10 when it was new too.

i got a headache just reading it. it is all wrong.
05 v-6 = 200hp
05 gt= 300hp
99-04 gt=260hp
96-98 cobras=305 cobras never loose
the 5.0 gt's had 215 hp but the torque was like 285 i believe and were lighter

 

i own a 04 gt and have driven many 05 v6s, not even close the gt is alot faster

 

05 v6's make 235 hp according to ford, but times i've seen with a 5 spd, have been high 14's

 

i have a 89 fox hatch, with full tank and stereo i had about 6 cars on 1 and i was short shifting, and i just have basic bolt ons

 

Your cousin is right. Few people know this but the V6 is a carbon fiber block, heads and crank. That being the case makes the car weigh less than 2,000lbs and since the crank is CF it spins at 15,000 rpm. And...
