so my buddy is going for the ats ct27 and has to send in a core. he already has a 57trim ct with only 3k miles on it. my stock ct26 has 90k bust boosts fine. sooooooooo since it makes no difference what core he sends in, he's gonna trade me turbos :naughty:

so that made my day....

thinking of adding megasquirt to the 57trim and upping the exhaust another .5" to 3"

back to modding... its been a while but damn... feels good =)

The extra 20hp should feel nice. My recommendations, port the heck out of the exhaust manfold and turbo while you have them apart. Also replace the gaskets. Chances are they have high mileage on them. Congrats.

yo tommy boy... i dont know if you can handle all that power ;)

you should port out your manifold w/ an air grinder and carbide bits. dont waste your time w/ grinding stones or sanding rolls. those pieces of shit wont touch cast iron.

dear God this turbo makes a huge difference. i cant wait to get some 3" and let it breathe. on 14lbs this thing really moves. im honestly impressed. i thought the 57 trim might be a little oversized but its perfect, a brief moment of lag then she comes on like a bat out of hell lol. Sorry... just very impressed. would reccomend to anyone. perfect match for a 3sgte

fresh , glad it worked out. I was thinking of getting a mk3 supra turbo and having it built for my mr2, this guy local to me builds them for a bunch of supra guys in Ga. and says it would be good turbo , well see.As far as that whole ct27 thing goes , Ive never really cared for that turbo.A3rd gen turbo is just as good or better if you ask me ,and you can pick one up so cheap. Does that 57 trim pull to redline ? Or does it start to top out around 5500-6000 range?

oh yea... it pulls all the way to 7 without letting out a bit. i hit full boost around 4100 - 4200. The lag is there that wasnt before, but instead of starving out at 5500 it just keeps on screaming. It's a good match for the motor
