Help me wire up a system hurrr

Alrite I am building a system for my gfs del sol this weekend. Its going to be a 2 chambered sealed truck-style box. Its going to be covered in black viynal to match the interior. The box is going to house 2 10" Bazooka 10" EL series subwoofers, 1 in each chamber. These subs will be powered by a old-school alpine amplifier. I think the amp is around 400 watts and its a 4 chann amp. My question is as follows:

Each sub is single voice coil 4 ohms. What would be the best way to wire this on a 4 chan amp and get the most watts to the subs.

2 ohm and bridge the rear two channels on the amp, then the fronts to the doors.

i would have thought bridge both channels of the amp if possible, and run each birdged channel to each subwoofer.

most older alpine amps cant bridge to 2 ohms, Id go with the 4 ohm dual bridged

Im sure if you post the model number someone will be able to get you detailed specs on that amp. also those el 10" are notorious for blowing at high temps so you might want to run a little under the RMS rating.

i have a del sol and i have a 12" pioneer in a sealed box and a 2,000 watt amp and it hits so f&*kin hard

Neonman, Thanks for the tip. I had these bazookas in my old truck and they wanged pretty nice BUT i had them wired to a 600 watt xtant amp so that was a little better than this 4 chan shit. Its my gf...she listens to country...and I INSISTED i install this in (before she had only 1 10, but i want to redo everything because I cant stand it looking ghetto)

As for newbie AHQ shit talkers, ive been part of this board for quite some time and the AHQ regulars pretty much know their shit. If your going to talk shit, back it up with specs, numbers, and brands maybe. Not just, I have a 2000 watt amp and my friends know as much as me

jesse you make me damn jealous. For my bday ( june 20th) I wanted to buy another 15" sub and another hifonics 1500. I want to then build a new box, this time give each sub 2.5 cu/ft (rite now one has 4) and port it to around 34 hz (rite now they are ported to 28). I want tighter bass but still let it get loud.

Yes I was actually til I posted a thread up in caraudio.com and changed my mind. I wanted a tighter sounding system and thought about going to 12's. A good amount of people told me that d2's are really tight subs but they need a better box than what is reccomended by the company.

Werd, I try to give an honest quick answer. If John, kev, or nate havent gotten to it yet, or hell even if they have. All three of them are top rate at what they do.

I wasn't overly impressed with Rainbow. A buddy who had a set actually swapped in a pair of $50 home audio mids in place of the Rainbow mids and they blew them away.

A buddy of mine in Orlando has a G35 (used to have a maxima) and just bought all his stuff from that guy in NJ. An Eclipse AVN head unit, the Arc DXE processor, Arc Amps, Rainbow mids/highs, and I think Alumapro subs, and 6 bulk packs of Stinger Roadkill. My final decision will probably be made after hearing his setup on the 18th at an all FL maxima meet in orlando. We'll see.

What else would you recommend, preferably non-mainstream since Im getting an Ascendant Audio sub, might as well blow people away with shit theyve never heard of.
