ok so i am askin more on behalf of my sister, she is in the market for a newer car, and i didnt have the answers for her cause i dont know shit about kia's....does anyone know anything about the new Kia Spectra 5....how is it made and all that, is it gonna be reliable....and also what kind of mods could u do, i mean i dont know anything about where to get kia parts or anything like that..any help is appreciated..brad

wait a year or so the 5 comes supercharged w/200hp in it. it scoots for a grocery getter. looks good w/the lip kit on it. and i hate kia's but hey i drive a saturn..... all in all i just like superchargers. id wait.

dude they are so bad. id buy one in an instant but i dont want to flamed nonstop for having a kia. they are sweet though imo. they have nice body styling, a awesome factory stero system, moon roof, all wheel disc brakes, a 2.0 motor, and that 10 year warranty. they just are kickass. and there is already a pissload of aftermarket help, and parts are cheap too!http://kia-fx.com/Spec5/spec5.htm

anyone know of anyother sites with 05 spectra 5 aftermarktet parts and accessories...ie- ski/kayak racks....Kia.com doesnt even have a current catalog. anyway....love the new spectra 5!

Kia is the worst car makers out their..They almost went out of business around the same time Daewoo did. ..I dont know who gave them the financial backing to stay afloat but they took a huge risk...Kia has to offer a 10 year warranty because their previous models like the sephia and sportage rarely lasted to 50k miles without just giving out. Not to mention a whole bunch of other problems with the electrical systems. I personally would never even consider a kia and I reccomend you be a good brother and steer your sister away from a shit box that will not hold a resale value. If you buy this car and try to sell it or trade it in a year later you will be so upside down it will make you sick......All I am trying to do is talk some sense into a fellow TR member. I have been around cars all my life and I do a lot of research into car companies and their engineering...Kia ranks one of the worst.....
