del sol that seems to be to fast

my car is a completely stock 1.6 non vtec del sol s with lowering springs and a short shifter thats it and i seem to take all these cars that i know have way more power and more torque then mine but it seems that when i drive the streets of tampa, almost every car i see i say to myself ill lose cause my car is slow but then when it comes down to it i win but its not like racing off the line i jus drive fast but like today i went to work 9:45 am and i see a vw golf im unsure of the model but it looked like a gti and we are on the highway and im doin like 70 and then i pass him and then he tries to catch up and i down it and start to let her open up but he cant seem to catch up to me or pass me and then around like 4:30 i fly by an mx-6 and i slow down and then he starts to push it and then i drop a gear into 3 and then he is like a half a car behind and then i switch to 4 and start to pull on him and then im gone i dont understand why my car seems to fly like it does but i used to have a 1.6 vtec in a 94 coupe and it was the same way but it had lil things done to it but this del sol is completely stock so i dont understand maybe the drivers cant drive or this car has something done to it that i wouldnt know about and i run my car on 87 the worst gas to put in a honda i used to run 100 octane but it was to much for 1 gallon but if some one can tell me why it seems to be fast or jus tell me what u think holla and drive safe

I have a 93 Del Sol, If u live in temple terrace than u've probably seen me. My Del Sol is yellow, 17" Black ICW rims, and lots of other Mods. My Del Sol is slow... I will admit though that the higher RPM'S do pick up rather quickly, I have beat a couple cars when I'm like going 50 mph. Ive lost alot of races though off the line. Young man, do you understand why higher octane is used? I really don't think you have to worry about it in a stock engine anything. Throw some F.I. on it or a big shot, and hope the octane boost helps hold er together.
