My amp died

I think my amp just died again. I bought a JL Audio 300/4 like 5yrs ago when it first came out and I had to send it back to get serviced like the first month I had it because it stopped amplifying and just pushed static-y sound to my mids and highs. Well I haven't had a problem with it since until this weekend when it just cut out again and is doing the same thing. I smelled something burning so I'm thinking something fried. Anyone else have any problem with these? I heard they were supposed to be fairly reliable....

I'm still rocking number 1. Besides..I havent had many consumer electronics last over 5 years, especially in florida.

yeah It came out of nowhere though, I thought it would last longer than it did. I think I might just buy one at SA for 400 instead of ebay this time too
