Wow...what a thought! I had a hard-on all night just thinking about it. The thought of a 5500lb boat getting a little sideways alone is like 'pure butt-secks'. Then....denied. Sorry to dissapoint guys. I really was hoping to get a chance to get that baby sideways at least once last night....but alas, I was never given the oppurtunity.
We did smoke a Supercharged Cobra from the light....
And v12's fucking rock!
Maybe next time (I doubt it.)

NO pics of the the car I was in last night, but I found these pic....it looks EXACTLY like it...same wheels, and color. It was a 2004 S600 with like 35k miles on it. I'm in love. Too bad I don't have $100k to buy one.

I really wanted to see it out there drifting!. I've never seen a car that big drift. What a monster! Maybe one day when they are old cars people will be sliding them around haha.
man you missed out. After I got my tire back on things really started to heat up :)

You ass. If you had mentioned you were gonna try, I would have stayed a little bit longer. As it was, we left @ a little after 2am, got to bed around 3, and had my 2 year old shaking me awake around 6:30am.
No sleep for us parents ;)

Charles, after I left your place, I had a 3-way on I-75 with a 350z & an STI. At 75mph, I bumped the shifter 3 times to the left and...well let's just say I didn't bother with the Vaseline!! I'll let you know when I take it out next...and no, you can NOT slide it. :poon:

I'm no expert, but a lot of people like turbos on their drift cars, but Iwould think that a V12 would have plenty of power and torque to get sideways and stay sideways.

just take a look at the GTO of rhys millen, and the viper driven by samuel hubinette ( sp ) they both have big-ass non turbo motors, and they both do pretty good.

valet parking isn't driving a car. going out for 7 hours is
paul kersey
05-21-2005, 05:49 PM
im not a valet parking attendant.
im a mechanic.
the thread should have been titled "test driving the s600" (complete with pictures of a different s600 than the one i drove)
also, why is it the only time you post in this forum is to protect charles?
Hella Slow
05-21-2005, 05:56 PM
i'm tired of your smart ass comments.
and.
why do you always have a smart ass comments?
paul kersey
05-21-2005, 06:01 PM
i dont "always" have smart ass comments. i was just asking if i got the whole jist of the thread down.
maybe i missed the pictures of charles drifting an s600, or what merit this has to a "drifting" forum.
its not a "test driving" forum.
then i just stated ive driven countless numbers of nice cars also, but i dont make threads about "not drifting them"
if i were to make a thread like this it would be "holy shit !!! look at me drifting some assfuck customers gt2 wow ~~!!!!22#@!!!!"
charles is a big boy, he doesnt need you to rush to his defense all the time whenever i say something rude, or sarcastic to him. hes used to it by now.
Hella Slow
05-21-2005, 06:08 PM
i'm not jumpin to charles defense i just think the smartass replys are not called for and you just happend to post up in the threads i like to post in.
i understand if you are trying to get your post count up. thats cool to reply like an ass to all threads.
keep up the good work!

actually there is a way to put the car into "dyno mode" which disables traction control, and removes the speed limiter.
so now this is a thread about "driving some other guys car, with no pictures of actual car, which i didnt know how to turn off the traction control, so i couldnt drift it even if i wanted to, but "drifting the s600" is a shorter thread title so ill use that"?
matt drifted an s55, do you think 55 has a magic button that makes it more driftable than the 600? ill go with no.
Matt Vassallo
05-22-2005, 11:56 AM
octogon:
actually it does. the s600 has some wierder transmission to it, i believe it is an auto shifting 7 speed.
the S55 has just a really heavy duty 4 speed with additional cooling to handle abuse (AMG) - so you can just turn traction control off, leave it in sport mode 1 gear - and it will just drift like asonofabitch... a sonofabitch that weighs 5000 lbs.
