I'm interested in what is the best for the money. Not the most expensive but what unit gives you the most features for your dollar.

for the money? Clarion stuff on ebay, pioneer on ebay... thats about it. Alpine is normally some $ over those two.. and eclipse you cant buy online.

I used to love kenwood, till I realized they make garbage. Great features, etc, but not as reliable as I'd like an HU to be.

what is your price range??

you can get a nice screen from pioneer, clarion ,or alpine in the range of 1g... they are limited in features and may require an additional dvd source

Eigervision has a flip out that has a great picture for like 650... great bang for the buck (but you will need a dvd player)

pioneer avh-7500dvd... hands down best radio i've ever owned, good sq, nice sized screen, plays everything i throw at it, comes with built in tv tuner, 5.1 and support for dvd-audio... they go for around $1100 refurbed on ebay

I'm looking for something that has a Dvd player built in. I have room for a double din.

check out GVOX www.gvoxusa.com (http://www.gvoxusa.com). New kid on the block. Chinese company, used to be a direct manufacturer for several 'US' brands. Now, they are out on their own.


They have a double din, AM / FM / DVD with built in TV tuner (diversity), aux ins, video outs, optical out, remote control, etc. I sell it for $999. They are coming out with a new touch screen version, that will probably be a couple hundred more.

They also have a single din (no screen) AM / FM CD / DVD that I sell for $300, and a single din, flip out, that is also $999.

I also have one Pioneer AVHP-6600DVD left from last year. DVD flip out touchscreen. Its basically new (been powered up in my display board for a couple months), with all boxes, warranty, etc. Its $999.
