You mean the hot wire? I hooked mine to the radio circuit, when it was hooked up. I don't have a radio in the SS, so it was an open line with a 10amp fuse :D
What kinda carb and intake manifold did you buy?

whats an electric choke???
sounds like youre going to have to pull a fused 12v ign source from a fuse block or relay under the hood... you dont want to ahve to run a stray wire to the inside of your car. if you have to, set up a 12v distribution block under the hood and mount it to a fender or firewall. then you can run ONE big wire to you battery for power. then any auxilliary components that will need 12v in the future can be pulled from taht dist. block. this way, you can avoid having 70bajillion wires tagged to your Positive battery cable or routed thru your firewall.

whats an electric choke???
Electric chokes do just thet, choke the engine automaticly if needed.Manual chokes i believe you need to floor the gas and then start the car up to enguage the choke.Car looks good andy,it definitly pulled harder than before. Now for a Cam and head package ;)

Good shit! I run a performer intake and 650 performer on my 350. They get the job done.

yo nicky, close... i was being facetious about the electric choke ;) i had an Edlebrock performer 650cfm electric choke on my K5 Blazer. worked pretty damn good. flawless performance and starts. much more convenient than manual choke. the manual choke is the one where you have a cable going INTO the cabin w/ a knob you pull to open or close the choke plate... like a freakin lawn mower. lol
the hot air choke on my trans am works like you mentioned; pump the throttle, the choke closes. then as the engine gets hot, air is drawn thru a tube and a bimetal coil attached to the choke plate. as the coil heats up, it causes the choke plate to open. i hate hot air chokes... they are teh suck. id much rather convert it to a straight electric. the hot air plumbing always falls apart and the repair kits are junk. and if i ever get a manifold w/o the exhaust crossover under the carb, the hot air will be eliminated anyhow.

well when i bought the carb they said it was a 650 but the box said 600 so i really dont know....i got the choke hooked up right i put it to the radio fuse....now i just need to get the right air fuel comb. and itll be running real good

Eh, the pilot A/F adjustment on those things seems flakey. I never got mine just right, so I just run both screws two turns out and live with it. I also disconnected my choke because it never worked anyway :D

Choke adjustments confuse me. Like, the second I have to break out a degree wheel and start bending shit, I give up. I'll just blip the throttle, it's not like Florida actually gets cold enough to fuck up a carb anyway.
