If you haven't gotten enough drifting this weekend, G4 TV (channel 124 on my Brighthouse digital cable) is airing all 5 episodes of Formula Drift starting at 8pm. This includes the first showing of their coverage at Wall, NJ.

I didn't see the Enjuku cars, but I just tuned in and saw it, the drifting looks slow, but i guess that's how it goes on that course.

i bet its just the view if youre watching the episode from wall stadium. it looks a lot different depending on where you stand on the track, and when we were gridding the cars it looked a lot slower than if you were in the stands viewing the track end to end. the camera+boom was on the other side of the oval, and aside from turn 1, it probably didnt get to really capture the speed of the drivers.

when rob lost his bumper during qualifying somewhere on turn 1 we went to the center of the track to wait and grab it, and everyone seemed so much faster once we got to see it from that angle

:( i wish i had g4 tv

man now that was bad ass... i recorded it BUT it all didnt fit on 1 vhs(even with the commercials edited out).missed 1 run due to switching tapes.. got the last 25 min on another tape... that really sux.. but i got all of it . but man that one guy(i forgot what his name was) he came all the way over from japan \... unranked in points and made it althe way to the semi finals driving a SIL-CAMINO(thats what hey called it) but i dont think that it was his car.... i think that it was a sponsored car with an owner...(he was eliminated by millen(GTO) who blew 3rd gear for the rest of the night and still came in 1st... in the finals aganist A.Phiffer(sury spelling) in a s2k of all things.)

Man that s2k had so much angle off that bank it was fukn' sick...
also i think that millen is the only driver(with points) that was still driving the same car as last year.... S.Hubantee(okok i cant spell i get it) was still driving the mopar viper(factory sponsored) but it wasnt the same one that he drove last year...

anyway i could go on about this show all night...
it was just bad ass..

but man that one guy(i forgot what his name was) he came all the way over from japan \... unranked in points and made it althe way to the semi finals driving a SIL-CAMINO(thats what hey called it) but i dont think that it was his car....

the driver's name is robbie nishida, and he was lent the car from a former drift xtreme member or something, i dont remember his name. the car is THE k-style sil truck from all the old videos on the internet. so awesome seeing it run in person, even though it had begun to get a bit haggard and torn up from all the use.

i didnt get a chance to see the show yet, but a lot of drivers were making incredible slides across the oval on turn 1. i dont know if they showed any video of it, but hiro sumida is the driver that comes to mind for killer driving on the oval. he just kept going faster and getting closer to the rails every time he hit the turn... until he actually crashed of course, but his performance was just awesome nonetheless.

the viper driven by huninette is not a mopar factory sponsored car. u can buy that car from dodge just like that. that car is owned by a guy who lives in vegas i believe. sometimes they just barely afford to bring the car out. cant think of where i read that one, but thats the story

Are you sure about that? Because at Atlanta they talked alot about Sam and his mopar factory backed viper.

thats a mopar-backed viper. its got a cage, lots of carbon fiber, moton dampeners, a front splitter, and huge brakes. a lot more stock than the car he won the title with, but not even kinda stock at all.

He said in one of episodes the car that was to be ran in the 2005 d1 season is a factory sponsord cars...i sat down and watched the whole airing last night ane i had to sit through all of it hitting pause when the comercials were on...

but it was pretty bad ass.. the first episode was kind of bunk.. it just introduced all of the ranked d1 drivers and what isgoing on with them for the 2005 season..
but the others were pretty kewl..

then it changed from last year. it must have just changed this year. cuz the whole other time, it was a privately owned car.
