American Iron Meet part 2

Alright heres what we got...Our first American Iron meet :bigthumb: A chance to put faces w/ names, hang out, grab some food and drinks, and see some sweet cars.

Saturday May 21st, (time tbd) I was thinking evening maybe around 7:00-7:30 :dunno:. From the other thread I tried to pick a couple of ideas that were in various areas. I agree where ever we end up we should maybe try to get a small area sectioned off, as long as we have enough cars.

When you vote post up your preference on times! Lets get this figured out :).

The only reason I didn't add it is because I didn't see many responses to that one. I thought is was too far out in Clearwater for most.

I can do that. There's enough room for a pair of dude/chick combos. One straggler could even ride the driveshaft hump.

I know you can not be serious. They don't want to meet @ a Sonic. They want to meet at a decent restaurant not some fast food place. Not to mention 99% of them are over the drinking age and want a few drinks too. I'd go, but I don't have any, "American Iron" Heh. Plus, I can't drink! Blah.

Don't think it's a "classic" being it's so new, and American Iron? maybe American Fiberglass :D. But seriously if your refering to the meet, anyone is welcome. You don't have to necessarily have an "old" musclecar, after all some of those that do are still in progress and not driveable.

and 67chevelle, dont feel bad for gettin sick at Cody's... i have too. the last time, the hostess sat us down at the table and there were drink coasters on the edge of the table. well we were looking at them and they were damp and had black spots on them... 1 guess what the black spots were. when the server came over to take ou drink order, she promplty snatched up the coasters and brought out a new unopened stack of them. i was slightly put off by this and vowed never to go back... we would have walked out, except we had a $50 gift card to burn up... and i know damn well the jew in me wont allow me to let $50 to go to waste!

my car should be down getting a new engine. but the girlfriends will be running but the header gasket started to leak really bad on the way home form daytona. it sounds like a dam rod knock. i'm not going to fix it, the headers are bad. she's getting my old headers after my motor is installed.

so we should be there in a 71 javelin sst 360 4 speed.

I have to agree that not having my a/c working is one thing I hated about having to drive the chevelle everyday. But now I'm spoiled w/ the a/c in the Buick. We need to get mine working.

I took the SS to Orlando once. That's roughly 3500rpm the whole way while twisting 70mph down the interstate. My right foot was fucking BURNT from the header heating up the floorboard.

My few trips to Daytona were the same way. Except my foot went numb from the vibration, solid motor mounts..........
