Well after a year of work, I finally got to get the stang on the road today. I haven't driven this car regularly in almost 8 years...Now she just needs exhaust and an alignment to be liveable, paint to follow...

Sweet! 8 yrs. is a long time. I don't know how you did it. Just a few months w/ mine sitting drove me crazy. Are you going to stay w/ the red?

I know the first thing I noticed after not driving mine in a while was the smell. I love that old car smell!

Your in tampa right? Now that you go it running you should bring it out to QS on Thursday. Were there almost every week :).

Excellent! I got the Camaro back on the road this weekend too. 100mph up 19 is fun... I've heard. I was only down about a month though. Congrats!

No old car smell here thank God! I have replaced everything in the car front to back. It smelled terrible when I got it back and had mold growing on the seats and dash (parents rolled up the windows and closed it up while it was apparantly quite damp)

I live in Lithia (SE of Brandon) and plan on making it out there once I get things sorted out and feel ok with the 80 mile round trip drive :)

I am actually going to go with Silver with a single flat black hood stripe (like on the 68 1/2 428's)

I guess I should clarify the old car smell I like . It's definately not moldy smell. I've replaced the carpet, dyed the interior, etc. It just has that "good" old car smell to it lol.

You remember me?, you sold me the torque convertor.

I need to really go with 235/40 or 225/40's in the front, they catch even with the fenders rolled.

i didn't sell you a torque converter. i don't belive we've ever met. my car rubs to i have 225/45's all the way around no fender roll. i am going to have to go with 205/40's in the front. i should've just taken the good advice when it was offered but i got a smoking deal on a set of pilot's $160 for the set so how could i say no. they don't rub much so they'll be fine until i get some smaller rubber up front.
