2nd Battery or CAP

In the next couple month I'm goingt o be installing a very high powered amp, Earthquake PHD2, in my car or truck, haven't decided yet, the specs for the amp say I need another battery.

my question is do i really need this battery and if so what is a decent battry isolator

I say screw either of those....if you want to do it right, upgrade your alternator and factory wiring.

DEF upgrade your alt and factory wiring

then step up to a battery if you are still having problems

Caps dont do anything unless what you have already can support your system

Caps have to be charged before doing anything therefore putting a bigger strain on your electrical system
