Default Building process stage 1

Finally received my block and crank back from the machine shop. I went with 86.5 mm pistons and got my crank balanced while I was at it. Just waitin for my lazy ass to measure the crank with my micrometer set to order bearings, and then finally assemble on the bottom end. The story behind my sr20: First one i receieved was blown, cam journals had deep grooves, turbo was seized, wiring harness was cut, bottom end had a spun bearing. They sent me another one (auto.). Tore off the head to examine the possible damage and figured I may as well go all out with new parts everywhere. So I went with eagle/ wiseco...ferrera valvetrain with JWT c1 cams for now.....( I'm 18 livin with a friend of mine, goin to school full time and workin full time.....so this build up has taken a while simply because of bills )

Beer boxes can be used as many things, connecting rod holder, midevil helmet (depending on intoxication level), etc...
Looks like you're off to a good start, im getting ready to do the same thing but to a KA, are you changing rods or pistons? what kind of rings are you planning on using? Goodluck bro...I'd ask matt (Ostrich) about the oil pump gears he posted a few months back, deffinitely a good choice when rebuilding an SR or KA.

I went with eagle rods and wiseco pistons....using whatever piston rings that came in the box lol. Just ordered the bearings today so I should be able to start assembly here shortly. I went to the local nissan dealership and they wanted something like 298 bucks for all bearings. Courtesy parts only wanted like 128 for the same exact thing...
