I need some dang exhaust, I just had some Civic SI kissing my bumper on a lunch run today! I was running 12lbs on a stock 2 gen. :dunno:

Freakin embarrassing. :wtf:

Anyway, I want to install my CT20B... but 1st I need exhaust!! I saw a 3" downpipe on Ebay. I think thats a start, but what about the rest? Should I just install the downpipe and let some muffler shop finish the rest with 2.5? You know they don't have 3" mandrels!

By the way, I prefer dual exhaust.... but will settle for a bad a$$ single if I have to.

Help a MR2 Brother out! :-D

Under 250WHP 2.5" will make more power ..

If you want to make over 250WHP on a CT20B go with 3" Aussie DP and 3" Straight through style single exit . Apex'i GT Spec would be my choice ...

Be sure to eliminate that stock B-Pipe , do not get the Tanabe DP thing ...

i'd just go 3" and call it a day.....aussie, top end, and ko racing are all good dp's......i like the ko racing dual exhaust if you can afford it....but my preference for a single exhuast is the Blitz nur-spec....its the best lookin single exhaust i've seen on an MR2.
come to the MR2 dyno day on Saturday and look at Pio's yellow 91T...he has the Blitz on there and you will see what i mean.....sounds awsome too....

I'm gonna be checking on the TRD exhuast soon for my car also.....the MKIV Supra's TRD exhaust is awsome sounding and looking....so the MR2 one cant be all that bad....i'll let you know what the looks and price are for that too...

I'll take a look at some of the exhaust people run on their 2 on Saturday like you said. This should give me an idea what to buy.

In the meantime, I'll drive with my head down. :tard:

I would say do the 3in with the ct20b , you wont regret it . Also Im actually using a straight pipe right now , but I dont recommend that either. It sounds nasty but works good.

i have the nurspec also, and it sounds good. the only complain i have is it's too loud, i have 3 inch straigh out to the nurspec with the ko sb, it comes with its own down pipe. someone have the nurspec silencer, myabe i reallly need it?

and a member in north port, thrillseeker just installed the burktech d/p, hks hiper and he said the butt dyno loves it :) he is also running 12lbs, ct26

You must not have been there when Andy got on it...I remember when my friend drove it before I bought it and I could hear it a block or two away

At first, I didnt want to have my window down (bad/No A.C) but if I can get it to echo off of the car next to me....ohhhhHhhhhhHHHHH!!!

Lets just agree that whoever says "turbos act as a muffler" is a fuckin retard :lmao:

I was thinking about buying the KO downpipe 2.5" and having XAT finishing the rest with either a dual or single Magnaflow muffler (Depends on the difficulty).

Does anyone know where I can find a 2.5" B-Pipe. I think if I buy these two parts, it will be easier to make the rest of the exhaust whatever I want.

My goal is 265 rwhp. 2.5" should be fine. Plus I think it will be the best bang for my buck. Plus I feel the 3" would be a little over the top.

I wish i could just have a 3" straight pipe like i used to which was pretty low-key looking, but it was just way to loud for my daily driver. Right now i have the apex GT spec, and i like it i suppose. Overall i really just dont like the look of huge shiny cans under the back of the car, but if i have to have one, the gt spec isnt all that bad. At least it has pretty huge piping for the major bends (3.75 inch). I definetly do like the single over dual for performace reasons (weight).

once you get to 265rwhp, you are going to want more, trust me. i dynoed a 266 today, and the car doesn't even feel fast

why not just get the tko to go with your ko downpipe?

You maybe right dude... In fact, I know you are right about HP addictions. I used to own a VR4 3000GT with Greddy everything and I always wanted more power! (Whoops... can't talk about DSM here eh?) LOL

Anyways, I'm trying to get an Exhaust very soon. I will probrably go with a 3" downpipe all the way out or something like that! :naughty:

Help me out MR2-Driver :-D

Well I now have an Exhaust installed! Thanks to MR2-Driver! Big ups to him for selling me (And installing) his old one.

SPECS: From B-pipe out to a single exit polished muffler 2.75" to 3" to 3.+" :-D

This is a very nice piece of equipment and it has made a night a day difference in performance. Partly cause of the design and partly cause my old 14 year beat exhaust was toasted. Its like a bought a new car!

Next on the list is a 3" downpipe, but 1st I'm going to rebuild my CT20B for good measure, then I will install both the downpipe and turbo as the finishing touches to my ride. After that its a SAFC and some dynojet time at XAT.

Thanks again MR2-Driver, you are the bomb-digadi-shiznu in my book now. :)
