I'm look for 2 stock 52mm throttle plates for a 95-99 420s engine. If you have an extra t-body laying around in th garage, let me know. I'll meet up with you if it's not crazily far.

I have an extra 52mm TB for a DOHC neon engine...not quite the sameas a 420a, but....

If the plate is 52, then that will work.
How much you want for it?
When are you free for a visit?

oh, you just mean the butterfly plate, yeah you probably could, cant get the TB cheaper though, well, I was going to use the TB eventually anyway, good luck in your search

oh, and just to let you know, any 1st gen neon will have a 52mm butterfly plate, the 5 speeds have a 49mm TB but that is because of the actual narrowing of the TB in a MTX, the plate is still 52mm

Thanks for the info. I'm gonna be using them on a t-body for an lt1 (it has 2 plates)...then I'm gonna force it on the saturn.

I don't want any retrictions at 18-22psi. ;-)
I found 2 plates some on the Plymouth varient...They neons were right next to each other. That 48-49 mm mouth makes throttle plate remove a slight pain in the ass, nothing a 12 er13mm and a 10mm couldn't take care of though, oh, and a hammer to remover the battery try
Thanks agian for the help.

np, let me see it when its finished though(I think it will seriously kill your bottom end, but top end should rule, unless your doing an offset setup where the second plate only opens past 4500rpm or something

I don't race with the bottom end...that's from cruising around.
The hrottle body has an cam lobed throttle... it doesn't open and the same rate. As you press the pedal down, it open faster and faster. It no as sensitve and low throttle mo make it easier to drive.

true, but I still think you should offset the second one somehow, the TB size doesnt make a huge amount of difference with forced induction, I'm still using the 49mm TB myself(havent got around to modifying the 52, with my intake I have to block off the ISC otherwise I will have a massive vacuum leak) too much airlow in an NA engine reduces velocity to the point it hurts performance, which may true to a lesser degree in a forced induction application, if nothing else I would think it would cause a bit more turbo lag, but anyway, I would still love to see it when its finished

I have a 49mm t-body a swap when I suspect the 55mm one to be a problem. I notice alot of a difference up top. The t-body can limit the amount of power you make... you can only get so much threw a hole. True, you do want velocity, but by slowing the air back down, you also help create a situation that provokes more even cyliner distribution.
You ever out at any of the meets, I wouldn't mide shooting the shit for a while. I sounds like you atually know a thing or two...unlike most of the dueches I see.
