Just to get things going....
Dream musclecar/classic?

Mine... stereotypical 67 Camaro, SS/RS. Must have the 396/375hp or optioned COPO 427. Also must have hideaway headlights (designated by the RS badge).

Yours? :crack:

I have to agree on the COPO deal. A good friend of the family bought two COPO cars new. Kept one for a couple years, kept the second and ran NHRA C/S or something to that nature for years. He wrecked the car when a stock wheel cylinder blew out on the shut down. This car had less than 10K on the clock, it was raced since day one, yet stock other than the gear, driveshaft safety loop, and a few other small items. Anyway, he hit the gaurdrail and bent up the right fender and hood. He actually located NOS parts from Chevy and put the car in the garage for seven or so years. Only to sell it to a collector who hunted him down in the early nineties. He sold the car in pieces for a little over $30K. It was a 427, 4 sp, bench seat, blue with black interior car. No emblems, etc. No nothing.

Add that to my dream list, and as far as muscle cars go-
Plymouth Superbird Hemi 4sp
Hemi Plymouth Belvedere 4sp
Rambler Scrambler 390 4sp
Of course a ZL1 Camaro!
Ford Thunderbolt
A/C Cobra 427

Hmmmmmm, so many good ones....add more people!

God, I have too many. Obviously I'd go with your 396 RS/SS 1st gen. I want an early 50's Bel Air drop top, black with red interior. '65 Chevelle SS, '57 Caddy, etc... The list is endless.

i love my '66 coupe a code pony car, but i would also love a '67 fast back 4-spd black or blue with the k code. for me it's a toss up. the only thing i'd change about my car is if i could make it a k code from the factory instead of an a code that would kick ass and add the rally pack, but i'm loving it the way it sits.

I'd love to do a '70 Nova for a street/strip car.

For a cruiser I'd love to do a '70 Olds 4-4-2. I always loved the lines on the Cutlass. Of course there are so many others I would do as well if I could...including a nice Buick GSX.

I've always wanted an early 60's Chevy II and/or early 70's split bumper camaro for street/strip. For a driver, I've wanted a convertible Lincoln with suicide doors for quite some time, and then, last year at Turkey Rod Run, I fell in love............

What yr. was that old white Cadillac I wanted? I never thought about a car like that, but I could see myself driving it.

Befor my Chevelle, I was really wanting a 69 Mach 1. No particular reason other than I really liked the looks of it. I couldn't find one in my price range though.

since you guys are talking dreams, mine will always be like a '68 gt500.

:naughty:

slightly more realistically, i'd go with a sixty-four and a half.

1+ on the gt500, But my first car was a Mercury Montego MX with a 351c. Damn I miss that car. What an awsome highway cruiser. I got so many friendly calls from the FHP on the turnpike in the late 70's my license was limited to work only for a year.. My friends called it the Batmobile.

This is the one I really wanted and still do. Different paint scheme of course. Someday.. Yeay it may be ugly but it ruled NASCAR in it's day. Cyclone GT. Boss 429 motor would be nice too.

I don't think its ugly, I actually like it.I don't think I've seen one before, or if I did, I didn't know what it was.

And +1 on the gt500!

Ford: 66 Mustang fastback, roadrace style, 331 fuelie stroker with 8 ITB's on top.
GM: steriotypical heavy gloss black 68 Camaro, new z06 crate, 6speed, modern roadrace suspension, mad dish on the wheels...
Mopar: 71 Cuda, 440 6 pack 4 speed, bone stock. Preferably b4 blue or PCP (plum crazy purple).

Even if I hit the lotto, I don't think I could ever afford the last one.

For me, 66 Shelby GT-350 HiPo 289 with the huffer....

http://bradbarnett.net/mustangs/timeline/64-66/66/1966RedGT350.jpg

Of course I love my 68, but a 68 California Special with a 390 or 428 would be my next choice if I could have it... (I love the Shelby lights on the coupe better than the fastback)

Dear god is that the cadillac with the completely modernized digital dash, custom just about everything? If Im correct he wanted 80k but had over 130k in it. Beautiful caddy!

Anyway I have a 1970 Olds 442 that Im fixing up (original 45k mile car!).

Cars Id like to have - Shelby cobra 427, 'CUDA 6 pack, that caddy pictured,
early 60's lincoln continental, Jay Leno's Toronado!

Custom 1970 chevy c10 with a 427, four speed manual , 9 inch ford rear end and foose wheels, possibly that dodge dark silver with jet black stripes (two of them).

I cant wait to get the 442 back on the road! Cleaning the carb after school tomorrow!

i'd like a 69 camaro SS/RS with the hideaway headlights, same engine as you have described...the 396/375hp.. jet black with 2 racing stripes and where it sits low and has the big tires on the back.
but then aside from that i want either a baby pink or turquoise 57 chevy bel-air convertible with pure white leather seats inside. :)

i do think that 67 hideaway headlights look cool as hell but i love the 69 hideaways.

tough to say since there are so many, but a 69 ZL-1 Camaro would be sweet. No chrome, dog dish hubcaps on steel wheels, plain interior with no options, and an ALL ALUMINUM 427 big block chevy and a 4 speed rated at 425hp but that was about 200hp short. In hugger orange :D

I love all of the rare muscle cars you all mentioned, but for some weird reason one of my top three dream cars would be a big block 67 El Camino.

I have a cousin who lives in Indiana that has a couple slightly like that, his is different b/c it has a blown 350 chevy(he's a chevy guy at heart) monsterous mickey's out back with skinnies up front. He lives in Indiana and whenever I'm up there we go to a bunch of cruises/shows and its amazing how everyone stops to watch when we pull in. Maybe it's b/c it looks cool or maybe it's b/c the exhaust is about to make their eardrums burst.
