Hydro fan doesnt come in the soarers. I see you hang out on SF 1JZ forums.

ahhh, ok, i never dealt w/ a soarer clip so i wasnt sure if it was hydro or clutch. yeah, i do spend some time on the 1j forums often. do you have the same name on SF or a different name?

well it was 2.5tsoarer and that one got banned because on the hulk yellow supra thread the son was bragging on how much money($150k) they got into it. and I said they didnt even spend half that. I know peple that helped build that car and they didnt pay for anything !!! so I got banned from SF.

ahhhh... ok, so maybe thats why i havent seen you post much at all. alot of the things regardings swaps have been covered anyways... not a whole lot of new topics or questions get raised these days.

That means alot from a TR vet. from '01 ...
I have to fix from and rear bumper , tow truck guy F'ed it up loading it when I blew stock engine. the interior is going to look bad ass too. dash and all upper interior is going black suede and the lower bottom real carbon fiber. Im not looking to break land speed record but do want about 400whp out of a smooth / p/s , a/c daily driver

omfg, Suede! you need some blue crushed velour seats now!!!!! bling bling!!!

and some arelli Assassins... of the 24" persuasion!11!! j/k ;)

thats pretty pimp though. i need to put a new dash in my supra... but after taking one out and miserably failing at reinstalling one, im disinclined to risk it again on a car i plan to keep.

anyways, nice to see another 1jz gimmick running around. i need to build another one; this time, for myself.

hey guys i was just wondering but......this is the situation im in -
i as of now have a 91 RPS13 SR20DET powered hatch....
lots of mods -
Greddy 3" Downpipe
Trust 3" Testpipe
Apex'i GT Spec Cat-Back exhaust
HKS SSQV BoV
Greddy 24VSPL Front Mount Intercooler
Greddy Turbo Timer
Greddy PRofec B Spec Type II electronic manual boost controller
Autometer A/F mixture guage and boost guage (both read correctly !)
Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump
Hot pipe with flange welded on (like 160$ rofl)

other extra things car has to make it unique is -
Greddy sprayed black on the front mount
front air dam cut custom to show the front mount (looks real good, not shitty)
battery relocated to the trunk
gutted
nismo steering wheel
JDM cluster (km/h doesnt work, everything else does though)

i have a minor exhaust leak (EGR pipe isnt there, leaking very small) you can get it welded for like 30-40$ or you can buy the actual piece off ebay for like 50-70 bucks including shipping

i put well over 7.5k into this, im looking to sell it for 7000 just because i didnt want to work the whole summer and im leaving into the military in august

id really like to know some specs on the sc class (soarer class) and who can do swaps? im really into drifting, and im in love with vertex's soarer at D1.....

which engine would you guys suggest? the 1j or 2j? i was thinking the 1j just because it has the least displacement and would be the most lightest (2.5L, compared to the 3.0, and 4.0 in the sc300 and 400 class)

i just want to be unique, and i owe my mom 3000$ to help me for this project, plus other misc shit that happened that i still owe her from when i had my 300ZX... im looking to sell this for 7k obo, and im wanting to know if anyone has an SC300,400 fs around here for like 3-3.5K (miles dont matter, has to be a manual transmission though)

and i was thinking when i get out i would like to mod one, i just want some opinions please :)

rps13 means HB so you dont have to right HB after it.
Good luck finding the rear sc 5spd, and good luck finding sc for 3k thats nice crap.
At the budget your setting up for , do the 1jz. I did it because its 1/3 of what the 2jz swap cost. for details goto clublexus.com and goto sc forum.

...Not to mention cheaper to go from 2.5 to 3.0 if you wanted to. 2JZ costs some major $$$, 1JZ clip is just upwords of $3.5k and if you wanted, you could put the bottom end of a 2JZ on there and get a 3.0 1JZ (aka 1.5JZ)

JZ swaps are pretty expencive...unlike Honda and Nissan swaps, you need a whole front clip to swap the engine in, even if you are using the same chassis (i.e. 1JZ from a Supra into a Supra, 1JZ from a Soarer into a SC300).

Honestly though, its MUCH MUCH cheaper and easier to turbo the SC300... the only differences in the block between the N/A 2JZ and the TT is the N/A doesnt have oil squirters and has a bit higher compression, neither of which are too important if you are only getting a few basic mods ("street" sized turbo, little here little there).

If done right, N/A --> 2JZs are still reliable under 400+ HP. All the stuff you'd need to turbo it should be at or around $2000, give or take some depending on if you are swapping transmissions and what not in the swap that needs some taking care of.

hey cheif, you should have made your own thread about wanting suggestions on your next route.

you really should do some research first. all those questions you are concerned with can be answered by searching and reading on the forums that are specific to those cars and swaps.

and as far as honda swaps, those arent cheap. putting an H22A into anything is at least 3000, plus misc parts. and thats CHEAP compared to a TypeR-swap into anything.

first off, originalsilvia, you dont have to flame just because i put "rps13 hatch", i dont care how precise everything is i was just trying to be explanitory if someone didnt know my chassi....and finding a soarer for around 3k is hard yes, but there are some fs around here for around that price, but are auto....

dont flame please

anyways, i was just exploring around and i just thought id post here im sorry i didnt create a new thread in this section, i was already on here and i wanted to post that...

as for a simple bolt on, id def need to swap trannys, the sc300's cant hold much boost w/o blowing the tranny, id need to swap to the 6 spd, this is just something i was exploring, dont fucking flame me for this shit, you could at least give me your feedback (thanks orion) and dont be dickheads about everything...

JFYI Na-T is same as 2JZ-GTE/TT/T... people putting down 600+ all day long on stock internals just like 2JZ-GTE... so there is no just "holding up to 400rwhp reliabily" like you claimed...... hate to be an ass but i hate to see misinformation from someone with no experience

Orion ZyGarian

I gave it some leeway because I dont think the stock tranny can hold much more than 400, if at all

tranny and engine are completely different animals... MANY NA-T guys simply slap on a thicker hg and call it a day as far as compression problems...

Orion ZyGarian
05-09-2005, 09:18 PM
You guys are thinking too far...I dumbed it down to 400 as just flat out turboing the N/A, leaving everything else stock except for the turbo, intake, exhaust, and whatever needed to complete the swap. I'm sure there are some N/A-->T guys who use the stock head gasket, run 93+ only, and little else.

Then its good to prove me wrong, because I'm being as conservative as XYNaPSE/tampaWRX here :p

Well I'm done with this thread. I wont be doing this stuff for a good 2-3 years or so

I'm sure theres someone just keeping the power down within reasonable basics...93 is possible, but not with much more power..you could probably run 5psi or so...why am I arguing a point that I admittedly know very little about...
