Default Looking to meet some Z32 people

I have always been in to Euro cars but I decided to pick up a 1990 300ZX 2+2 last August. So far I am really liking the car and am making plans to do the twin turbo swap along with lots of performance mods at the same time.
I moved away from Tampa for about 10 months but am back now and would really like to meet people who know a lot of these cars. I could always use some one to bounce ideas off of.
Let me know if there is anything any Z people do on a regular basis. Where my company moved me (Dallas, Tx), there were weekly things going on.
Anyway, I just thought I would post something up and hopefully I will get the chance to meet some of you.

We meet weekly but the location is under debate ATM due to the massive influx of "riff raff". Untill things change we are at Sonic on Hillsboro Ave between Dale Mabry and The Veterans on Sat night. Most show up sometime between 8:45p.m. and 9:30p.m. We (more so I) love to talk tech so feel free to stop by.

If I wasn't heading out of town today I would stop by tonight for sure. I will try and make it next week though.

I think I can feild this one.
Most will tell you that it costs far less money to sell the NA and buy a TT. In most cases they are right. A "COMPLETE" TT swap will cost about 5k using used parts and about 10k if you pay someone to do it for you. Figure 5k for your car + 5k for the swap = 10k you could have spent on a TT
Just for a quick read: https://www.tamparacing.com/forums/s...d.php?t=197697

With that said. It can be done for less but you have to have the know how and tools to get the job done. Can you weld? Can you solder electronics? Etc.
It's a rough job with lots of downtime and NOT for everyone.

1.8TWolf: Well, anyways welcome to the community. Feel free to stop by the monthly Nissan meet in carrollwood. (May 7th always the 1st Saturday of the month) Some of the old guard of Z32 owners like myself go and hang out with the 240 guys. Then head up to Sonic if the mood strikes, lol.

Undoubtedly, unless you have developed an emotional attatchment to the car, purchasing a TT is much more worthwhile than tt swapping an NA. Please cruise over to www.TwinTurbo.net and use the search feature for all the fun threads by noobs asking the same question. TTNet is your definitive source for Z32 info and tech.

Btw, John saw your S14 up at Sweet Tomatoes Saturday, shocked to see it out on a rainy day. Looked as good as it did at HIN the other weekend.

Thanks for all the info guys. I have had the car since last August and have considered this for since I bought the car. I am still not sure what I will do in the long run but either way I still like the car itself. I could do the swap myself sure, I have all the tools and know how, I just thought I might be a little easier to let Z1 do it.
I use TT.Net and 300ZXCLUB for info all the time. It's good to have those sites. I have always done all the work on my VW and BMW myself so I guess if I do go through with this it would be smarter to do it myself.
Thanks again and I look forward to meeting some of you soon.
