View Full Version : Stock head unit & sub?

I just bought a 01' Tundra and will be putting either 1 10" or 12" sub in. Do factory head units have rca, and sub outputs? I have installed stereos before just never w/ a "factory" head unit before....

No, you need to buy a Line-Out Converter, Best Buy, Circuit City, or RadioShack carries them, or if you amp has speaker line-out you can just run speaker lines to your rear speakers, or rear speaker lines behind your deck. Let me know if you have any questions.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add. Your Tundra probably has a factory amp underneath your factory radio, that is where your speaker lines will be.
