I currently have a Tial.
It works great but produces no sound.
Which BOV works and is loud?
Looking for a BOV that sings.:naughty:
Here's a pic of my current config...

thats freakin awesome man!
The tial sounds good depending on how much boost you run. Low boost no sound high boost good sound.
Sings? Try HKS super sequential, more reliable and good sounding bov out there.
Thanks... it's a love / hate relationship.
I run 6psi on the low side, and somewhere between 10 - 15psi typically on the high side.
I have never heard the BOV whistle... and I absolutely beat the ba-jesus out of it!
I have two buddies with HKS super sequential BOVs on thier bikes.
One you can hear it plain as day... the other, nothin. :dunno:
With that said... one rides like I do, the other is more conservative.

maybe the spring is set to tight? You can adjust the relief pressure I think right? That or maybe your damn open dump exhaust is SOOOOO freakin loud and blurboly  that you can't here it.
BTW: That is a freakin work of art underneath your fuel tank there man. :nworthy:

I use a 1st gen DSM BOV...works great...not too loud(can still hear it with the motor spinning 5k though), but sounds nice

If you want a good performing bov, go with the HKS, that and TIAL are the only ones I want to use, they sound great and perform even better. By the way, I love your bike.

that's not a BOV, its a BPV, you're just venting it to atmosphere

hmmmm so that NOT a BOV..................its a BPV....................i think greddy would beg to differ with you, yes it is a blow of valve. i think only vortech, bosch, and VW call them bypass valves.

heh, in a DSM it may be a bypass valve...since it goes back into the intake for the MAF reading, but since I am using a car that is MAP based its a BOV since theres no reason for it to go back into the intake

its all the same shit. lets just call it a pressure release valve and stfu.

You must own a fucking volkswagen, I swear they are the only tards out there that still call them bypass valves.

If it is designed to recirculate back to the intake it's a BPV..FYI Most Mazda's use BPV's too

HKS SSQV BOV all the way for performance and singing
because you are on a bike and shifting so high and quick no compressed air to be released because once you shift you right back into powerband so for you there might not be a great sounding bov.
Those recirculatory bov are fine for stock boost shit for anything past a bar
Oh yeah and if you really wanna turn some heads run 25psi with a duck call on the hks bov
