I have a 04(550cc)...but how much hp can the stock injectors go up to?..Nitrous is gonna be applied to my car in the next two weeks,i was thinking about 17lbs+50 shot...but id think my car would be dead lean...unless you guys can convince me otherwise ...which would be safest boost levels with a 50/60 shot?

the stock injectors I heard are between 42-48lbers...which should be good up until about 360, maybe 370hp or so

bahaha. thats funny right there, I dont care who you are.

hah hah, so funny, wait, I forgot, you cant adjust fuel pressure can you?, besides, 04s have bigger injectors than 03s

estimated hp x .5 / # of injectors

this is a rough formula but it will work for our pourposes

360x.5=180 180/4=45 and guess what size stock 04 injectors are? so funny isnt it? hell, people have run over 400HP on 48lb injectors, granted, they are using more....extreme...fuel pressures...but still

the funny thing is you said they support 350hp. *coughbullshitcough*

ok, let me revise that, on a stock SRT4 setup they probably wouldnt, but thats because SRT4s use a wimpy 43psi or so for fuel pressure too

riven

no, they use 58psi.

lol this is great you guys are awesome. ok who would win in a fist fight o4 injectors or 05 injectors?

Josiah

04 and 05s are the same as far as I know, my point however is that these injectors will support the desired power level....probably not easily but it can be done....lets put it this way, my 36lb injectors flow closer to 40lbs at 50psi, with about 75-80psi I think those injectors would do fine for the required power level, probably even without...depending on what PSI these injectors are rated at, 45lbs at the usual 43psi rating, or 45 at the 58psi rating

4x45# injectors are only good for about 300whp. Sorry.

550cc should be good for close to 400whp.

Ok guys---Will it be safe to use a 50 or 75 shot?..on the stock fuel system?..a FPR and Walbro will be oredered shortly, but the kit will already be on the car...tp spray or not to?...you tell me

where are you getting your math? I can get 300 out of my 36lbers at 60psi, maybe I should specify, the injectors are plenty capable of it...the limitation is in the SRT4 computer, pump, and regulator, I have a standalone and have control over my pulsewidth though(as well as a ton of other injector control features), as well as an aeromotive regulator to control by base pressure, and a warlboro 255 pump, maybe this is where the root of my disagreement comes in, that being said, I would want 56-60lbers for 400HP, just because I dont running so close to the limits of the injector

Srt uses 58+/- 5PSI.
Next these injectors are rated @58PSI but NOT with the standard fluid. They are flow with some n-heptnae fluid or some crap.
About 2 years ago, we were given all the density and necessary info to figure what they really flow so as to compare to other injectors flow tested in the more commonly used analysis techniques.
Next, If I recall correctly, the PCM tries to keep duty cycle around 80%( I have exact data elsewhere, dont feel like diggin gright now)

Riven and Cronic are closer to reality than you are.

How much do you want for a Walbro...And i want the special,i love to hate you price to damn it :lol: jk,but seriously give a a price on one,and we'll talk :-)

Oh,is it safe to spray a 50-75 shot on the stock fuel system?

ok, in this case maybe the SRT4 injectors are funky and unlike other injectors, let me rephrase then, with REGULAR 45lb injectors 360 HP or more shouldnt be a problem, all of my calculations are off more...usual injectors...never have used SRT injectors, and now that I know this I never will, good ol cheapo ford injectors should work fine for awhile(heh, I pulled the set I'm using now from a turbo t-bird and they work great, all for a cost of $0)

beats me dude :tard:
I think I have heard/read of 50 shots. But that what the dyno is for. Dont you have an upgraded fuel system?
ya know, return line etc....

skittle you should be fine with a 50shot as long as you keep the boost under 18lbs. are you goin to be out this weekend ?

Skittle, spray a 75 wet shot and be done with it. There are alot of people spraying wet shots on their SRT.
