This morning I took my dogs to the beach @ Ft Desoto. When I take them somewhere, I push the sub box all the way to the back against the tailgate of the Jeep and unplug the RCA's (only because they aren't long enough, the power/remote/ground are long enough and are neatly wrapped in spiral wrap).
When I got home and put my box back and plugged the RCA's in and turned the truck on to move it, I got no output out of my receiver. After messing with it for quite some time, I realized that I have output when I disconnect my remote from the harness, but the second I connect the remote to the harness, the deck protects itself and shuts down the internal amp and goes into attenuation mode..
WTF? I can't find any shorts in the cables, all connections are secure. Only place I haven't checked are the actual speaker connections.. but the speaker connections shorting wouldn't cause this problem if it were the case, would it?
What to do now?
