Does anyone know of somewhere local to get drivesoft hardware. I emailed the company and they sent me a link to download their software, and I have all the parts to put a PC in the car, but I'm not sure what else is needed(ie. specific sound card, etc.). I also called the only dealer that I could find which is West Coast Customs, but they won't ship the parts, or tell me what all it takes. I guess that they want me to drive to Cali
Any advice ?!?

Did you ask the Drivesoft people when you emailed them?
I bet WCC knows theyve got a lockdown on that shit, im surprised they dont ship seeing as how everyone sees Drivesoft on pimp my ride, even if it voided warranty or anything.

I may try to make another desperate phone call to them to see if maybe they'll help out ... but otherwise, I'll order the software and see if it comes with either documentation or help menu's in the software ...
We'll see ...

I take it you dont watch pimp my ride
in-car computer that you hook up to really any in dash touchscreen, main difference between it and others you could put together is the software is uber user-friendly with the touch menus.

The Drivesoft Lite (which is software only) is only $49.00 ... I don't know about the hardware which brings us up to this thread ...
I know that there has to be some kind of GPS interface .. Sound Card ... Video Card ... etc. and all the small 'touch screen' monitors (7"-10") are about $650-$700. I think you can get away without the touch screen if you have place to use either a mouse or a trackball ...
Anybody know if I would be able to hook it up to my touch-screen Alpine IVA-D300?

ask on mp3car forums.. they probably have experience.. i REALLY like that interface. I never got the point of having a touchscreen with an xp start menu etc..

Just a guess .. but as long as you have a DVI or DB-15 connector on it ... it should work fine. (assuming that you can find the drivers for it)
If you have DB-15 connector, try finding someone with a laptop to see if it will find the drivers by itself ...
