Next Sarasota/Bradenton Meet

Ok guys well since the meet was such a success and so many people are wanting to do it again here it goes.... Im thinkingh a saturday morning sometime... I want opioions on what we could do and where to meet so start sending in your requests....or we could do another wednesday ngiht thing but i think a sat moring/afternoon thing would draw a bigger crowd and mabye get those people from tampa off there lazt butts to come down here and chill with us instead of us goin up there all the time :grin: ...i had mentioned siesta b.c its the best beach around and we really dont have a park like the tampa/st pete area has to meet up...but liek i said im open for anything so everyone jsut start lettin me know...looking to do it probably some time last april or mid may.

I dont think Siesta is a very good idea just for the simple fact there is NO parking at all this time of year on a Saturday or any day for that matter. I think your probably best off doing something like what you did before. On a Saturday most Tampa people are going to want to stay up that way so they can go out for the night festivities rather then driving all the way down to Sarasota/Bradenton and then driving back up to the normal activities.

So IMO you are best off doing something like you did before. Also this time maybe I'll come out, that is if you dont mind a slow NA supra coming along.

I would suggest last wednesday in april...Talked to alot of people around town and they would be very interested. If we do it at sonics, we can get like 50% off too. thats what they give our club for cruise inns.

+1 on siesta, i went to skim the other day and had to turn my sorry ass around and go back to bradenton. darn stupid kids and old people took all our locals spots like whoa. siesta will almost always be out of the question. sonics is best i think, since food is so close :) you cant go get something to eat at siesta. but what about anna maria? kickass beach for the skim, and they have a great sized praking lot. theres always space after like 5 oclock too, so parking is good. and the sand parking lot? (drift!)

I work there and can set everything up the parking lot has more than enuff room and is very well lit, theres pools tables inside the bar and the food is pretty good too . I can even make flyers on the copy machine
this is just an idea but I would like some feedback

Well you cant just keep changing days and times and locations...I need to know if you really want it at hooters or not by saturday morning so I can ask them...I dont really car where it is, but not thrilled about the whole bar sceene to park my car incase some fools get their beers muscles on and want to act up... I talked to the manager yesterday and i am meeting with him on monday...They would be happy to have us there, also i believe I can get us atleast 15% off food and drink and he will let me know that tomorrow. I can also get Budweiser to put up a banner at hooters if you want this to be a monthly thing. I figure we could average about 80 cars each time. Let me know....

Dont do Saturdays, too many car shows and other things going on...This is supposed to be a cruise inn for like a couple of hours. Weekday cruise inns have always worked better IMO. Plus most cruise inn locations are already packed on weekends and would be more accomodating during the week!

I personally walked around to all the import cars 2 times. The problem was they were all trying to stay far away from everyone else IMO. I talked to a few guys with wrx's and they seemed nice. The turnout for imports was pretty sad. There was 50 cars though which isnt a bad turnout. You have to get there earlier too. People not getting there til 9 is silly. People need not to be shy and go up and meet the others...I had a great time, no fights, no issues...Next time get the imports to show up and it will be good!

well the reason the imports were by ouselves was because theyre was like no designated parking its was all the mustangs had spots and evry one else had to fend for themselves so how were suppose to all be together no biggy though i talked to some people later and they drove by but all they saw were mustangs and they were basically like fuck that it was preety good we just need to some how reserve parking and ish pluse like two of the mustangs took up 4 parking spots im no offense but theyre shit was that great that they needed to do that i mean the steeda and the procharger car had more balls no ffense to anyone but come on its was preety good though ill give ya props and will be waiting for the next one

No matter where you decide you want a cruise inn, if there isnt a smaller window of time you wont get everyone there together. as far as not many mustangs, i had over 15 of them come during the night from my club, i believe thats a pretty good showing. All the negative talk isnt going to make another meet better, why dont you see who can get the most cars out to the next meet and make it a contest...If the imports win all the domestic guys have to put IMPORTS RULE in their sigs, and vice versa if the doms win.. Fun little comp for some braggin rights...

good question, i was told 7-10pm, most get there early for the best parking spots, showing up at 8 or 9 and you just wont get them, like when you go to quaker steak and lube same thing. If you get there at 9 or 10 most dont want to hang out for 2 more hours. I got there at 6 45 and left at 9 30 long enough for me. we can narrow it down if you want, i didnt start this 03acura did. I just tried to help with location and discount. But let me know if you dont want the hooters thing and i will cancel it there. Ill just ad another cruise night for the mustang guys. Like i said before, if you dont get out and meet the people there is no sense in having a cruise inn...I hope we can co-ordinate better next time...

Just my 2 cents.

To me there were 2 problems, the time variation and parking. Hopefully the next event will be organized a little better.

The reason alot of the mustangs were out front was because they were there around 6pm.

Even though everybody was scattered, I enjoyed the even. There were alot of impressive Imports and Domestics. I looked forward to future cruises in bradenton.
