Ive got a friend from out-of-state who is quite interested in buying a new back-up car. hes tired of dealing w/ his supra and just wants something w/ no issues. hes selling his 4th gen prelude and wants to pickup an AE86 hatch.

so, if you guys know of any Hatches, SR5's or GTS's in Clean shape, Post up! he just wants a straight body. Mechanically, he just requires that its driveable. he has intentions on doing a 20v swap or something like that. also, no Auto's either. 5sp, hatch, rust/dent free as much as possible, drivable.

No coupes though, he doesnt want anything to do w/ them. he will pay decent price, as long as the car is worth it.

remember, he doesnt want something thats all modded and what not. he wants stock so he doesnt have to worry about someone else's issues.

wow a picky ae86 owner

never heard of it

autos can be changed to manuals for $100

sr5's ($1000) can be changed to gt-s ($2000+) for about 1000 more which is usually still cheaper than gt-s

and stock in any form-good luck

ebay.com
club4ag.com

hope those helped

He may want to refer to the AE86 faq in this forum...

If your not willing to drop 5-6 grand, then you arent willing to own an AE86. They require a lot to get back to pristine reliable condition. Its not a "cheap" car to own.

agreeing to the above. 6k is prob what hes lookin at for what hes askin. but he can do what i did. search retirement communities and trailor parks. i got my first corolla for $500 and it was a gts. also, a friend of mine has a 84 hatch with a 4ag i pulled from a mr-2(not in yet).if hes willing to do some work it would be a way nice car. the body is pretty good. it will need a harness and a gts bellhousing. ill ask how much he wants for it. prob no more than $400.

I have over $10k in mine plus the price of the car and it's still not done. But then again I did break a whole lot of stuff when I was first learning to drift :(

It's a cheap car to buy that's it. Once you have it you will spend $$$. The only thing you get in return is having fun.

if he wants a back up car there is alot of cars that are alot newer, faster and cheaper , I got a 90 legend with leather and cold a/c that will blow the doors off a corolla and I also have a 93 thunderbird that has a 5.o HO and has the best a/c on the planet.
