I'll be there testing out the new Hankook tires. There are reports of them being a match for the Azenis... we shall see.

Entry fee is $30 for non-members. Other than that, all you need is a safe car and a valid driver's license unless you're a minor. Come on out, we'll show you the ropes.

You might browse http://www.sunridersmotorsports.com and read the general info there.

:( I guess I need the practice anyway. If it is, I'll be turning up my steering assist. :-P (Yes, I can do that now.)

Membership refers to SunRiders membership. If you were a member, your entry fee would be $25 instead of $30. You must wear a helmet, if you don't have one, we have loaners available.

Leonard, I saw a draft of the course. If they follow my suggestions, it will be a pretty open and flowing course. (as much as one can be at SPC, anyway) If they don't... well...

I was joking, Leonard. I have seen an early draft, it had a 3 cone slalom and it wasn't very tight.

Actually, I don't care about slalom's. The cobra is GREAT through quick transitions. It's great through steady state sweepers. It's got some issues in hairpins that aren't resolved yet.

To answer Mofugga's question: The Hankook Z212 seems to be on par with the Azenis. I kept up pretty well, with only one Azenis car placing ahead of me... and I think that may have been an error (the time was 2 seconds ahead of all of the driver's other times). They don't quite have the steering response of the Azenis, but they have the grip, and they have much better street manners. (no noise, smoother ride, and theoretically better in the rain)

And with that... post-event conversation has picked up here:
