I really want to know your opinion on a procharger. I'm looking at getting this procharger kit (https://www.aandacorvette.com/cart/show_items.asp?MainCatID=18) How much difference in performance will I really see from 6 pounds. Obviously the dyno numbers are awesome from 500-500 rwhp, but it is a centrifugal blower, mostly peak power. I'm not looking to be the fastest car on the road. I just wanna up the power, and run with the faster cars. I'm also not looking for an awesome car from a dig. How well do you think the car will perform? In the future I'm looking at doing new internals and running about 8-10 lbs. Also, price wise, how would a $5k h/c package compare? I'm looking for driveability too.

IMO boost on an LS1 or LS6 = lots of $ and problems. High compression motors were not meant for boost. However, they do love the spray within reason. 500rwhp on the spray is easy and affordable, the draw back only being not there all the time like boost is.
For a fraction of the cost you cold spray that car and have it be truly nasty. That kit looks good though, and you can't beat the wow factor of a SC.

Yeah, the high compression is what I'm concerned about. I was planning on lowering the compression, though, soon after and just run 5-6 psi until then.

Surf call www.revxtreme.com (http://www.revxtreme.com) or 813 628-0080 and ask for Dino or stop by. They did a c5 that made 680hp with a SC but it ran out of fuel lol. I agree with Dan and spraying it.

high compression and boost mix fine as long as its TUNED, if it has crappy tuning I wouldnt touch it, but properly tuned low boost on high compression is fine, better in fact than boosted low compression, I have a neon(I know, nothing like a vette, but hear me out) its 8.5:1 compression, I put it NA to begin with(t-belt on my previous 2.0L broke) and at 8.5:1 it put out around 160hp, on just 6lbs of boost(what I am currently running till I can get a wideband to tune it better) it puts out upwards of 200hp and 200ft lbs of torque both, and this is at a measly 8.5:1 2.4L 4 cylinder...imagine the difference on a high compression v8....

Yeah, my 9:1 Eclipse picked up 150 rwhp with 8.5 lbs of boost, but we're talking about a 10.5:1 CR with the Z06. I would consider 9:1 being nice and low for it.

well, you could always do h/c/blower...and just get the combustion chambers worked over a little to drop the compression.
