I need a tune up done...im taking it to someone to change the plugs and wires since im not gonna deal with that bullshit pain in the ass job. anyways, what is the best plug wire combo, for the price, running all stock, no mods other than K&N air filter, and i will soon be replacing the whole air intake with a better one, but other than that its all stock. just looking for what the car will best perform smoothly and react to reliably.

also, does anyone here know how to get the fans to turn on at a cooler temp?? 226/235 for the fans to turn on is unacceptable. i need them to turn on at 200 or less.

The wires are really up to you, MSD makes a really good set and so does ACCEL.. I would go with the Accel, because i have had problems with the MSD 9mm in the past..
As far as the plugs go, i have run NGK V-powers for years, they are an excellent plug, especially running down the track under a 300 shot of nitrous!!

I ran both MSD and Taylor wires on my LT1 and NKG tr6 plugs for nitrous, i think those are 1 heat range colder. Stock heat range are tr55's.

yea, you need the TR55's or equivalent (stay away from autolites) and go with a stock sized wire, if you go to 9mm, i dont think they fit in the holders to route them.

8.5 or 9mm are more of a pain to route and yeah they dont fit the stock looms.. plus u dont need thicker ones. the AC delco stock plugs are actually better than most. I tested spiral, taylor and AC delco had the least resistance and really no arcing problems to them.

Get a 160 thermostat and have your fan setting at 180.. Thats a common set up and works fine.. its what i use... Had for 25,000 miles and pull the engine out and no abnormal carbon build up like some fear having that low of temp.

well i have a 180 stat, but how do i get the fans to kick on earlier?

If the cars stock just run factory wires so they fit in the factoy holders to keep the off the headers. Or you end up burning wires all the time from them laying on the manifolds.

does anyone here have one? i rather not pay a shop what they wanna charge, and rather throw a member here that knows what they are doing a few bucks

going to need to find someone with a 95 like yours then if you dont wanna go to a shop. 95s have the obd2 connector crap for the obd1 computer.

your best bet would probably be to get your own hypertech, you can get them for cheap off ebay on occasion. That way you can play with it till you get it right. You'll probably also want a lower temp stat though, otherwise the fans will be working overtime to combat the stats high temp setting.

MSD are good but liek leon said, dont fit too well on stock wire holders. Id stick with OEM wires. If it were my car id be doing the Taylor over the valve cover wire deal. Easier and looks bling

research it on camaroz28.com, it's on there. You have to get a short wire, couple of inches long and connect 2 terminals in the fuse box where the relays go. This will make your fan's stay on all the time.

oh basically your jumping the relay to make it turn on all the time...they do shut off with the car being shut down tho right??

Yes, they stay on all the time as long as you have a key in the ignition.
