theres one for sale around here and i dont know what all is on it exactly all i know is that its an R/T and is an extended cab...dont know miles but on average what would a 99 have and what would be a decent price? I looked it up in Kelley Blue Book and with most of the options and guessed 35k miles it was around 10k...i'm absolutely in LOVE with this truck and wanna get rid of my civic for it...haha so give me some ideas on this thanx!

yeah its the one with the 5.9 the only bad thing is that i dont think i'm going to have enough come out of my civic, then i'll be in the hole, and i bet gas on that thing is nuts :dunno:

yeah gas will be nuts compared to a civic but if you like the truck you will sacrafice and spend a lil extra every month on gas i have a 5.9 in my truck and i only get 8-9 mpg but the R/T would get about 13-15 or more or less depending on how your driving is! Being a member of this forum i would venture to say.....10mpg!

haha yeah maybe closer to that...especiall how i drive my civic, its still a single cam, basically stock, and i drive it close to 5k almost everyday cause its slower so i gotta get it moving...i'd take it down a notch with a 5.9 and i'd drive a little better, and not risk sliding the rear end (too much at least)...

Suuuuuure, you say that now but when or if you get it for the first couple of weeks or even months you will be haulin some major ass in that thing. I was gonna get one but i needed something bigger, and now im getting a ranger its a freakin SNAFU

yes it's a 5.9 in it. No it's not that fast, 15.5s from what I see. Yes they are gas pigs. If you really want something like that look for a 5.9 Grand Cherokee, Friend picked one up and stock they seem to run 14.7 to 15.00 plus you get room for two real people and 4 wheel drive (not a huge selling point till you own someone when it's tamp out).

ok yeah i say that now and yeah i prolly woul drive it hard just cause...lol umm 15.5 is a whole lot faster than what my car is now...i wouldnt really want a jeep, i like how this truck sits and stuff...and not like i dont already spend every dime on my car now? my car is SUCH a money pit now

I raced one with a few mods and he walked me like a baby standing there picking its ass. He never would pull over so I could check it out. Pissed me off I wanted to know what was in it.

I raced one over here in lakeland about 2 yrs ago when i had my '98 mustang GT and no its was not stock. All the badges on the R/T were shaved it was slammed and had a hard tonneua cover bitch looked so bad, so the light turns green we both gas it and he walks away like im driving a v6 mustang and then that bitch hit a button and away he went smoked my ass without the NOS but he had to show off. So i catch up with him at the next light, he rolls his window down, and is a freakin 60 year old man! I was like i wanna be like that when im old!

haha yeah no doubt that the dodge 5.9L has PLENTY of potential...i guess stock it only has like 250hp tho...but plenty of torque.

graves, sounds like the truck was on par for stock, your about low 17s to high 16s? I'm guessing since the 03 150s were 16 to 17 sec trucks and I've run a few 04s without a problem (same speed no one pulled and they were two wheel drive). As far as mods there are some, my friend claims a mid 13s with mild bolts ons with a regular cab (headers, exhaust, intake, rockers, chip and built trans). I don't know if it's real I've only seen 8th mile time slips.

I could tell ya this one had more than bolt ons. I'd say it was getting a lil bottle fed action. My dodge hating ass was mad lol. Hopefully I can get a slot someoen gives up at track day to see what my POS really runs now that I have a few otehr things done to it. Just need tires for the back.

I'd be interested to see what happens with your truck. I'm getting ready to unload mine for more then I paid (:-D) and going with a buick Rainer, only because I can get the 300 hp 335 ft lb of torque 5.3L V-8 with all wheel drive (including locking rear) in the regular sized GMT 360 platform (envoy/trailblazer size).

my step-bro has an 98 standard cab rt, wit the basic bolt ons, headers , intake , pcm tuned by krc i think. he averages around 14.6-14.8, but i think with some drag radials there would be a definite drop in the et.
