Well last night was fun! :headbang: Great weather! I ran into another WRX while heading home. I was just minding my own business and he came up next to me and started the old floor it and then let off technique ......trying to entice me into racing and it worked. :burnout: We ran three times all from a 60 roll, all three runs he got the hit and would pull a fender out on me and by the top of third I would put 2 lengths on him.......on the last run I hit 4th and was like 3-4 cars on him by 100mph. He had intake and turboback exhaust , he also had some sort of EM ......at least thats what he said. :dunno:
Earlier that night I ran a buddy's turbo 240...from a dig. He got a major hit on me .....like a good 2-3 seconds before I launched........He had a half of a car on me at the top of first , and a whole car on me by in second....by the top of second he was holding his lead and then he grinded the shit out of third  ....I started pulling back and was passing him at the top of third and then we shut down. His 240 is pretty quick....however It would have been a different out come if we both started together

How did you get killed from a dig? You should have smoked that 240 from a stop :naughty:

Depends on how the 240 is set up and how good the driver was in the 240. I have not been smoked by a WRX off the line yet. Keep in mind that this is a new car for him also and he is only going to get better at his launches.

I hesitated big time on the jump.......I said that he had a 2-3 second jump on me! :bounce: I didnt launch until his back bumper was already at my front fender. Oh, and I didn't get killed.....I was in front when we shutdown :headbang: The WRX can never lose! :burnout:

Yeah....me too! However, I was actually proud of the way I launched on this 240....I think I got out of the whole with good speed and no bogging :) It was my reaction time that killed me on this one. I am still timid of launching any higher than 3700-4000 rpms.....even though some people tell me that is the best and fastest way to get out of the whole, I guess! Too me launching at 5000 or 6000 rpm is the fastest way to blow the tranny, winning the race is just not that important to me  I think that is why Subies have a bad rep with their trannys, b/c all these new drivers drop the clutch at like 6000K rpm. I don't think I have the balls to drop the clutch at 5k-6k rpms ........Even if it does slam you back in your seat and come out the hole like a bat outta hell:lol:

Just wait till that bad boy pops out a 1.7 60ft. I'm confident you will be there very soon. I think you will be very pleased with your timeslip.
