STi vs MX-6 V6

this maroon mx6 v6 revs at me all the time. does fly by's on me all the time and revs at me when he is going the opposite way. today i finally catch up with him.


its doesnt really count as a kill but i hope he's on the site to read this so this damn ricer will leave me alone.

i catch a light with him on memorial and kelly this morning. he wouldnt look over at me but i was pretty sure he was going to go. light turns and as i figured he gives it all he has, i give it maybe half throttle and get next to him and laugh. by this time we are doing about 30mph, i give it a little more gas and put multiple car lenths on him. i left off and then i get the super fly by. he takes the independence exit from memorial. same way im going. i figured he had learned his lesson but this ricer didnt give up. we go under the under pass on independence that leads to the veterans and it merges to one lane. he decides to nail it and try not to let me over. i just then drop it into 3rd and proceed to walk his ass and merge in front of him. as we get on the veterans he does a fly by on me and must have been going 120mph and put the hazards on. the ricer just wont give up.

i hope the owner of this car is on the site and reads. please stop revving and doing fly by's on me please. its rather annoying that your 17sec car keeps bothering me.

Since when do Evos match up better with WRX than STis? I thought they were in competition with STIs not Wrx.


And whats Torque? do you need that to win races? :)

he has k&n intake, exhaust (3" i think), carbon fiber hood(not like that matters), and stage 2 racing clutch (stock evos clutch sucks and it was slippin'). I'll talk to him tonight. Do you guys ever come down to bradenton track on thursdays or fridays?

yeah wrx's are no competiton for evos, but i think sti's are quicker than the evo stock. (when there racing in a straight line)

Since I have been stage 2 :dbird: Evos match up with STi's stock for stock. Hence the reason why I asked what mods the Evo had. :deal:

Your pretty right on with the #'s alberto. I'd say you need about 220-230 in a non-sti to run neck and neck with one; stock being ~ 170 awhp. Nothing that a tuned catless wrx can't handle though. ;)

most STi's stock put down in the 250 range. i cant figure out how the same car with 20 less HP would hang neck and neck with it. unless the WRX driver was better than the STi driver
