Default Boost Spike (Help)

So the past couple of days when I open up my car my boost just jumps strait to like 30 psi. I thought that maybe the Vac line to the wastegate had a kink cause it was really short. So I changed the vacuum line. No help. So I turned my boost controller all the way down and it still it goes all the way up to 30 psi. I don't think it would be a problem with the boost controller. But today for shits and giggles I'm gonna run a new vac line strait to the wastegate with out the manual boost controller to see if maybe it's the boost controller. If not does anyone have any ideas? Maybe my wastegate went to shit and is stuck closed? Does that happen? Anyways back to work. If anyone has any ideas and would shoot them my way that would be great. Thanks
Adrian

i would check for boost leaks. i had the same problem with an UICP leak and my gauge was reading past 30 psi on a t-25. needless to say, i didnt find the leak until after my turbo blew but thats just an observation.

Well I took my boost controller off and tried to blow through it and nothing came out the other side. So I backed it all the way out and still no air getting through. I think something inside of it is stuck. Time for another boost controller. Anybody have a manual laying around?? Thanks for the help fellas. Adrian

Oh and it went up to 28 PSI. not 30. I think it would have though. I just let out of it.
