i have 2 bazooka 12's and a 500 watt bazooka amp and all of the sudden now when i turn my radio on there will be a short feedback noise and then my amp goes into protect. does anyone know whether the subs could be blown or would it be the amp?

Yeah, I'd check them out to see how many ohms they're reading first. There's a good chance the voice coils melted inside though and they're shorting themselves. Other than that, I'd say you're having amp issues.

You should check the ground wire on your amp a lot of times they go into protect mode because of a faulty ground.
