I guess this is where I would put it. Went to the track friday nite (by the way I live in georgia) and ran a 13.6 @ 101 mph, not to bad for a stock jdm b16 head and a built ls bottom end Eagle rods, CP 12:5:1 cr pistons, GSR oil pump. This was in a 95 cx full interior with A/C hatch.

The tranny is a 2000 SI, tires are BFG drag radials, Engine management is DOMDATA. A friend of mine has a wideband and does all the tuning on my car. His name is Dom so we call it DOMDATA. We are building another motor now to put in my brothers car and hope to hit low 13s in a full interior DC

If you could read the bottom end is built and the head is totaly stock meaning cams, IM and throttle body are stock. This is a full interior car that has a working A/C to. With me in the car it weighs 2300lbs. So I guess it is not so comical anymore huh :dbird:

im not sure if it will get into 12s. id guess low 13s. it takes alot of power to go 12s in a NA hatch.

Around 200hp to run in the 12s. Hopefully I will be there in a couple of weeks. Oh, by the way what is comical about 12:5:1 compression.

yep 200whp is needed to make the 12s in a hatch. the compression is a bit too high for me for a daily drivier. i made high 180s with 11:3 81.5 bore on all OEM parts. would have broke into 190s with a little more tuning.

his 60ft is alot better then mine but his mph is slower. at 10psi i ran a 13.84 @ 104 with a 2.43 60ft. cant wait till i have time to run it again at 15psi with some decent tires on it, might even take some of the crap out of the back next time too. my cars prolly in the 3500lb range with me in it. not bad times for a honda though. get the head worked and some cams and go back.

its a bit too high for me also but if its tuned properly, it will run fine. when i had my honda, i wouldnt go past 11:5

It just seems funny that his claim to fame is that he did all this with "a full interior car that has a working A/C to. With me in the car it weighs 2300lbs." I would think a little more streetable CR would be in order if you're going to brag about full interior and A/C. But hey, what do I know? I drive a Buick

I can't help you there. I am not bragging or anything. What I am trying to say is this was all on a completely stock B16 head. I think it is pretty good for it being stock. About the compression ratio out of all my friends here in GA I have the least. A friend of mine drives his everyday on almost 13.5 and still gets 25 to 28 mpg. He also runs 12.5 all motor and full interior. So to say it is to high of compression is your choice, but we have a tuner who knows what he is doin. All of our cars (except mine) have all dynoed out at over 200hp on 93 octane pump gas.

im pretty sure he was making a joke. if he wanted to solve the problem he could o-ring the block or use good metal hg's and use arp headstuds. then only thing hed really hurt if he detonated would most likey be plugs and pistons.

You're right, it is your choice, it's just when I think 12.5:1 then A/C, I picture a long stream of green coolant running down the street and steam going everywhere  It sounds like it's working for you. Now, 12.5:1 running mid/high 13's is still comical, but hey, it's your car, if you're happy, I'll just leave it alone.

That compression is fine on pump gas daily driven. If the tune is there, there are no problems. Steves car....NA200whp ran 12.9s on street tires and 12.4s on slicks with similiar weight as to what you have. He cut a 1.9 on the street tires and a 1.7 on the slicks. What power are you making? What engine management?
