Default Anone see the GM Racing/Roush Racing Cobalts at BMP?

GM Racing/Roush Racing out of Michigan rented BMP for the day yesterday to dial in/winter test a fresh drag car they built for a drag racer out of NJ. They brought two cars, a fully interiored/street legal Cobalt, the twist being that it has a 250hp OEM setup scheduled for next year's production and an all out drag car. The drag car looked funny to everyone because it actually is/was that fresh out of the shop, it was just primored with no decals or anything on it not to mention you could barely make out what it was, you just saw big slicks up front and skinnies in back

The driver claimed the street car runs 12s at 107 fully interiored with automatic and they are looking to dial in the drag car to run 7.9s. Well the only two passes i saw the car spun madly till the 330 but either way it was scootin along. The first one it ran an 8.3 at 170 then backing it up with an 8.0 at 171. Silence is how i can discribe the reaction to each run...am i the only one around here whos seen 7-8 sec FWD 4 cylinders Well anyone anyone get a chance to check these out?

It'll be an interesting season coming up between the Cobalt's and ION's. Something tells me that there still won't be a lot of consumers picking up the ECOTEC's but they'll be cleaning up NOPI and NHRA in their respective classes.
