Default IMPORTANT NEWS ABOUT VIN #'s

So check this out right. Car thieves are getting keys cut for our cars, then just driving away with them. this is the exact email I was forwarded:

Good thing my VIN is in the joor jamb and it's also good that my keys aren't cut via the VIN I guess you could jack the '67 with a flathead screwdriver though, so it's a fair tradeoff.

its still just as ghey. Whats so hard about asking for ID when your cutting a key? :bbb:

It is unlawful for any dealership to cut keys for anyone without a valid id. They must be the registered owner of the vehicle and they make a copy of your ID to keep on file. All this came about because of above senario.

They're suppossed to, but most don't, and haven't ever. Made it exceedingly easy to get 4 new sets of keys cut for my car when my original set went missing. But yeah, I wouldn't mind a set of keys to Vince's Vette, anyone know where he parks it? Heheh jfwy
