aight, i'm soooo sick and tired of having wring problems on the MR2. i think its time to go stand alone. where should i go? what should i get?

Normally I would suggest the MRcontrols stuff....

But heres why I didnt.

The base model SDR that MRcontrols has dosent haev that many options anyway. Its biggest strengths are sequential injection and the fact that all factory options and wiring harness are retained. Its BIGGEST weaknesses in this are that MR-2 stated he dosent want factory wiring since its driving him nuts, why force it to him.

The Hydra nemesis 2 is also a great system with lots of options, but if you buy all the options its priced more than the AEM that has them from the factory in 1 package. I also trust that more dynotuners know AEM than hydra 100:1, AND AEM support, programming, and troubleshooting are TONS better than hydra.

Depending on what is on the car in question mod wise, I'd pick between Megasquirt II , and AEM ems.

 

XAT Racing here in Tampa installs and tunes Megasquirt, and I hear they're very good at it. Just a thought. I don't know who does AEM in Tampa.

 

Enthalpy can tune AEM better than 99.9% of any other tuners out there. Hes taken the course at AEM and been certified by them.

You can make a megasquirt II yourself for around 400.. Prebuilts come around 600.

Depends on if u want spark control or not regular megasquirt runs 300 and controls only fuel..

Megasquirt and spark (kinda useless now) runs around 450 built

Megasquirt II runs 600 MAX with all options and soemtimes a prefabeed harness w/sensors.

 

You definetly need something with fuel and timing control.

 

Yeap.. no need to "half-ass" it.
